like below fixes the issue , You can write as:
code :
SELECT  *
FROM OPENQUERY (server,' select DISTINCT c.AUF_NR AS JPO,
                                c.KUNR AS CustNo,
                                c.BESTELL_NR AS CustJPO,
                                c.KOPF_PROJEKT AS Project,
                                c.ERFASS_DAT AS OrdDate,
                                c.LIEFER_DAT AS DlvDate
                        from
                                --server.AUF_STAT a,
                                --server.AUF_POS b,
                                server.AUF_KOPF c
                        WHERE
                                c.AUF_NR = 140281')

Hope that helps You are opening the recordset with the option adCmdTable which means that it will expect a table name not an SQL query.
Use the option adCmdText instead.

will help you The error is when you assign the value to the @Modules variable inside your IF. Try this instead (you need to make sure that the result for that SELECT returns only one row):
code :
ALTER FUNCTION [dbo].[GetModulesforTesCaseID]
(@TestCaseID numeric(18))
RETURNS VARCHAR(1000)
AS
BEGIN
declare @Modules VARCHAR(1000)
select @Modules = SUBSTRING(
(SELECT ',' + cast (S.MODULENAME as varchar)
FROM MODULE s JOIN EFFMODFORTESTCASE EMTC ON S.MODULEID = EMTC.MODULEID
JOIN TESTCASE TC ON TC.TESTCASEID =  EMTC.TESTCASEID
where tc.testcaseid = @TestCaseID
ORDER BY s.MODULENAME
FOR XML PATH('')),2,200000)

    if @Modules is null BEGIN
            SELECT @Modules = M.MODULENAME
            FROM MODULE M
            INNER JOIN SUBMODULESFORMODULE SFM
                ON SFM.MODULEID = M.MODULEID
            INNER JOIN EFFSUBMODFORTESTCASE ESMTC
                ON ESMTC.SUBMODULEID = SFM.SUBMODULEID
            WHERE TESTCASEID = @TestCaseID
    END

return @Modules
end

This might help you You need to remove semicolon at the end of the nested query, and add an alias to it:
code :
SELECT [Table1 Query].[amel_code], [Table1 Query].[kala_code], Sum([Table1 Query].[SumOfqty]) AS SumOfSumOfqty
FROM (
SELECT Table1.amel_code,
       Table1.amani_code,
       Table1.kala_code,
       Sum(Table1.qty) AS SumOfqty
FROM Table1
GROUP BY Table1.amel_code,
         Table1.amani_code,
         Table1.kala_code
HAVING (((Table1.amel_code)=[?])
         AND ((Table1.amani_code)<[?])) -- ; <<== Remove this semicolon
) [Table1 Query] -- <<== Add this alias
GROUP BY [Table1 Query].[amel_code], [Table1 Query].[kala_code];

will help you I've seen the error before for a different reason but how can I fix this? , Just use insert . . . select. No values is needed:
code :
INSERT INTO [dbo].[XXX] ([ID], [aaa], [bbb], [ccc])
    SELECT NEXT VALUE FOR dbo.S_SHIPPING_ID_SEQ, @aaa, @bbb, @ccc;
INSERT INTO [dbo].[XXX] ([ID], [aaa], [bbb], [ccc])
    VALUES (SELECT NEXT VALUE FOR dbo.S_SHIPPING_ID_SEQ), @aaa, @bbb, @ccc);
INSERT INTO [dbo].[XXX] ([ID], [aaa], [bbb], [ccc])
    VALUES (NEXT VALUE FOR dbo.S_SHIPPING_ID_SEQ, @aaa, @bbb, @ccc);
INSERT INTO [dbo].[XXX] ([aaa], [bbb], [ccc])
    VALUES (@aaa, @bbb, @ccc);
