wish help you to fix your issue To convert MS Windows timezone names ("c# timezone") to tzdata/Olsen timezone names (pytz "python timezone list") you could use http://unicode.org/repos/cldr/trunk/common/supplemental/windowsZones.xml file e.g., to autogenerate the mapping, you could use get_windows_info.py Python 3 script.

Convert date in one timezone to another timezone using timezone abbreviations

will be helpful for those in need I am working on a web application where a user can set his/her timezone in the application which is further used in the application for various date-time conversions. The selected timezone can be different from user's locale timezone. , Here you go:
code :
// calculate local time in a different city given the city's UTC offset
function calcTime(city, offset) {

    // create Date object for current location
    var date = new Date();

    // convert to msec
    // add local time zone offset
    // get UTC time in msec
    var utc = date.getTime() + (date.getTimezoneOffset() * 60000);

    // create new Date object for different city
    // using supplied offset
    var newDate = new Date(utc + (3600000 * offset));

    // return time as a string
    return "The local time in " + city + " is " + newDate.toLocaleString();
}

// get Bombay time
console.log(calcTime('Bombay', '+5.5'));

// get Singapore time
console.log(calcTime('Singapore', '+8'));

// get London time
console.log(calcTime('London', '+1'));

I hope this helps . I can't seem to figure out how to convert a datetime string to another datetime string with timezone. , You could use dateutil to add the tzinfo to the datetime object.
code :
from datetime import datetime, timedelta
from dateutil import tz

AmericaNewYorkTz = tz.gettz('America/New_York')

def _to_datetime(air_date, air_time):
    schedule_time = '{}:{}'.format(air_date, air_time)
    return datetime.strptime(schedule_time,'%m/%d/%Y:%I:%M %p').replace(tzinfo=AmericaNewYorkTz)

dt = _to_datetime('07/27/2015', '06:00 AM')
print('DateTime:', dt)
# DateTime: 2015-07-27 06:00:00-04:00
from datetime import datetime, timedelta
from pytz import timezone

AmericaNewYorkTz = timezone('America/New_York')

def _to_datetime(air_date, air_time):
    schedule_time = '{}:{}'.format(air_date, air_time)
    naiveDateTime = datetime.strptime(schedule_time,'%m/%d/%Y:%I:%M %p')
    localizedDateTime = AmericaNewYorkTz.localize(naiveDateTime, is_dst=None)
    return localizedDateTime

dt = _to_datetime('05/27/2015', '06:00 AM')
print('DateTime:', dt)

Hope that helps There's nothing to convert. Both Java and Python (via pytz or dateutil) work with the same set of time zones from the tz database.
If you see differences, then it may be because one of your environments doesn't have a current version. New time zones are released occasionally, but old ones are never removed. They're just converted to links to maintain backwards compatibility.

I hope this helps . If you know your origin timezone and the new timezone you want to convert it to, first use pytz.localize to handle any localization (e.g. for daylight savings, etc), then use pytz.timezone to create timezone objects, and finally use datetime.astimezone(timezone) for an easy calculation. For example:
code :
import datetime
import pytz # new import

my_timestamp = datetime.datetime.now() # some timestamp
old_timezone = pytz.timezone("US/Eastern")
new_timezone = pytz.timezone("US/Pacific")

# returns datetime in the new timezone
my_timestamp_in_new_timezone = old_timezone.localize(my_timestamp).astimezone(new_timezone)
datetime.datetime.now(new_timezone)

wish help you to fix your issue By default, Django admin will use current timezone to render your Datetime fields, you should use activate to set the current time zone to the end user’s actual time zone.
