it helps some times I've Resource and ResourceDetail. MemberPoint with memberId and ResourceId. , You can try using include this way:
code :
var query = _context.MemberPoint.Include("Resource.ResourceDetails")
                                .Where(m => m.MemberId == 111111);
var query = (from m in _context.MemberPoint
            join rd in _context.ResourceDetails on m.ResourceId equals rd.ResourceId
            where m.MemberId == 11111
            select new
            {
               Member = m,
               ResourceDetail = rd
            })

I wish this help you Since you are creating an IEnumerable type of object, EF runs this query in the first line. Then Any() or FirstOrDefault() are executed in the memory set. If you want to "continue" writing linq statements and run the query in the end; just go with IQueryable.
code :
IQueryable<string> o = (from P in Table where P.ITEMID == itemid && P.IMAGESIZE == size select P.PATH);
return o.SingleOrDefault();
return Table.Where(p => p.ITEMID == itemid && P.IMAGESIZE == size).SingleOrDefault().PATH;

hop of those help? As the title suggest I am looking for a way to do a where clause in combination with an include. , You can query the required objects by
code :
Context.Configuration.LazyLoadingEnabled = false;
// Or: Context.Configuration.ProxyCreationEnabled = false;
var buses = Context.Busses.Where(b => b.IsDriving)
            .Select(b => new
                         {
                             b,
                             Passengers = b.Passengers
                                           .Where(p => p.Awake)
                         })
            .AsEnumerable()
            .Select(x => x.b)
            .ToList();
Context.Configuration.LazyLoadingEnabled = false;
// Or: Context.Configuration.ProxyCreationEnabled = false;
var bTemp = Context.Busses.Where(b => b.IsDriving)
            .Select(b => new
                         {
                             b,
                             Passengers = b.Passengers
                                           .Where(p => p.Awake)
                         })
            .ToList();
foreach(x in bTemp)
{
    x.b.Pasengers = x.Passengers;
}
var busses = bTemp.Select(x => x.b).ToList();
modelBuilder.Filter("Awake", (Person p) => p.Awake, true);
Context.Busses.Where(b => b.IsDriving)
       .Include(b => b.People)

I think the issue was by ths following , As stated it is not allowed to use Where inside Include method. As I know it is not possible to filter navigation properties like that. What you could do is using projection
code :
var billing = db.Billings
    .Where(b => b.BillingID == id)
    .Select(b => new {
        Billing = b,
        BillingClient = b.Client
        FilteredAttachments = b.Attachments.Where(a => a.WorkflowStateID == workflowStateID)
    })
    .FirstOrDefault();
Can I include a where clause before Inner join clause

Can I include a where clause before Inner join clause

this one helps. You cannot add a where before the inner join, but you can add your condition into the on clause, like:
code :
"SELECT facultydetails.F_NAME,Paper_title ".
"from faculty ".
"inner join facultydetails ".
"on (facultydetails.Fac_ID='$FacID') and (faculty.Fac_ID = facultydetails.Fac_ID) ".
"where (paper_path = 'NULL' OR paper_path = '') and  (certificate_path = 'NULL' OR certificate_path = '') and (report_path = 'NULL' OR report_path = '') "
"SELECT facultydetails.F_NAME,Paper_title ".
"from (select * from faculty where (facultydetails.Fac_ID='$FacID')) f ".
"inner join facultydetails ".
"on f.Fac_ID = facultydetails.Fac_ID ".
"where (paper_path = 'NULL' OR paper_path = '') and  (certificate_path = 'NULL' OR certificate_path = '') and (report_path = 'NULL' OR report_path = '') "
Difference in index declaration between specifying columns in ON clause and in INCLUDE clause

Difference in index declaration between specifying columns in ON clause and in INCLUDE clause

To fix this issue The difference is that included columns are not ordered in the index; they don’t belong to the index tree, they are just added to the leafs.
So this basically means two things:
