will be helpful for those in need If the question is "how do I get the count of objects that A.ref points to?", one possible answer is: [A valueForKeyPath:@"ref.@count"]. Another is: [A.ref count].

I hope this helps you . In answer to your first question:
This situation is handled by Core Data automatically, and the mechanism is called "faulting". Apple has some helpful documentation on this. Simply put, the related objects aren't fetched, but when you try to access them, Core Data will automatically retrieve them from the persistent store.

wish of those help You could fetch the "ProdusComandat" objects without a predicate, that would give you all objects of that entity:
code :
NSFetchRequest *request = [NSFetchRequest fetchRequestWithEntityName:@"ProdusComandat"];
NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"comanda != NULL"];
request.predicate = predicate;

fixed the issue. Will look into that further You since the DocumentReference has a to-many relationship with DocumentData, you can check the count of the referenced documents which is a NSSet. Like this, where hasDocumentDatas is the to many relationship:
code :
-(if DocumentReference.hasDocumentDatas.count <1){
   // Delete
}
else {
    NSLog(@"DocumentReference has still %d documents referenced",DocumentReference.hasDocumentDatas.count);
}
