I wish this help you I'm putting it in an answer because it's in the comments: you need to populate the array. So:
code :
for (int i = 0; i < scan.length; i++)
{
    scan[i] = new Scan();
}

To fix this issue Program that tests the rand function is an example: , You should access members of an object with this syntax:
code :
$integers[$i]->value
$integers[$i]->occurences;
$integers = array();
class Number {
    private $value;
    private $occurences = 0;
    public function __construct($value = 0) {
        $this->value = $value;
    }
    public function getValue() {
        return $this->number;
    }
    public function addOccurence() {
        $this->occurences++;
    }
    public function getOccurences() {
        return $this->occurences;
    }
}
// init part
$integers = array();
for($i = 0; $i < $numOfInts; $i++) {
    $integers[] = new Number($i);
}

// draws part
for($i=0; $i < $draws; $i++) {
    $integers[rand(0,$numOfInts-1)]->addOccurence();
}

// print part
foreach($integers as $number) {
    printf("%5d %5d<br />", $number->getValue(), $number->getOccurences());
}

will help you First thing: -
You are calling processLine(line);, but are not returning the token read from this method.. So, the token obtained in this method in engulped there only.. So, you should return something from that method..
code :
array[i].name = readFile("filename.csv");
array[i].manufacturer = readFile("filename.csv");
readFile("filename.csv")
List<Can> yourList = new ArrayList<>();
while ((line = reader.readLine()) != null) {

    String[] wordRead = line.split(',');
    yourList.add(new Can(wordRead[0], wordRead[1]));
}

hope this fix your issue If you want to get Array[event] then I don't think that is the right approach
Here is what you can do for alternative
code :
case class event(imei: String, date: String, gpsdt: String,
                 entrygpsdt: String,lastgpsdt: String)

val result = rdd.map(row => {
  val imei = row.getString(0)
  val date = row.getString(1)
  val gpsdt = row.getString(2)
  //create case class as you want
  event(imei, date, gpsdt, lastgpsdt ,"2018-04-06 10:10:10")
})
.collect()

may help you . The issue here is that you are re-declaring the arrays inside of your setUp() method. This is messing with the Scope of the objects you want to use.
Remove the static from the the setUp() method as that is not needed.
code :
Lord baratheons[] = new Lord[3];
Lord starks[] = new Lord[3];
baratheons = new Lord[3];
starks = new Lord[3];

To fix this issue Your Node class is not static, which means it is bound to an instance of your outer class. You can work around that in two ways.
Create the array using java.lang.reflect.Array:
code :
private Node<K, V>[] buckets;
this.buckets = new Node[this.size];
