wish of those help I wrote this code to save to core data long time ago , this saves entity with multiple fields
code :
    let appDelegate = UIApplication.sharedApplication().delegate as AppDelegate
    let managedContext = appDelegate.managedObjectContext!
    let entity = NSEntityDescription.entityForName("Note", inManagedObjectContext: managedContext)
    let note = NSManagedObject(entity: entity!, insertIntoManagedObjectContext:managedContext)

    note.setValue(text, forKey: "text")
    note.setValue(hour, forKey: "inTheNext")

    var error: NSError?
    if !managedContext.save(&error)
    {
        println("Could not save \(error), \(error?.userInfo)")
    }
    let appDelegate = UIApplication.sharedApplication().delegate as AppDelegate
    let managedContext = appDelegate.managedObjectContext!

    let fetchRequest = NSFetchRequest(entityName:"Note")

    var error: NSError?

    let fetchedResults = managedContext.executeFetchRequest(fetchRequest, error: &error) as [NSManagedObject]?

    if let results = fetchedResults
    {
        self.notes = results
    }
    else
    {
        println("Could not fetch \(error), \(error!.userInfo)")
    }

wish help you to fix your issue Turn on NSMigratePersistentStoresAutomaticallyOption' and 'NSInferMappingModelAutomaticallyOption in your NSPersistentStore and then create a second version of your model with the changes. Only do the integer changes to keep the migration simple. That will allow users who install your upgrade to migrate from the broken model to the corrected model.
NOTE: This must be an automatic migration; a manual migration with a mapping model will not work.

may help you . Initialize an NSNumber (which is what CoreData is expecting) with your integer:
code :
NSNumber *marbleNumber = [NSNumber numberWithInt:marbles];
[records setObject:marbleNumber forKey@"marbles"];
[records setMarbles:[NSNumber numberWithInt:marbles]];
NSError *error;
[myManagedObjectContext save:&error];

//handle your error

I wish this help you You should be using NSInteger whenever you can. The reason is that it will be platform independent. On 32-bit architecture, an NSInteger will be an int, on 64-bit a long.
Therefore, you are OK having used the int-methods before - it is the smaller subset of the two.

I wish this helpful for you iam using Xcode 4.6, and have a view with an UITextField where i can set the date. The value is NSString and i can see it with NSLog. Now i want to save this date in coredata. XCdatamodel has a entity with one attribute myDate Date. When i convert the NSString to NSDate then i allways get null. Whats wrong with my code ?
code :
+(NSString *) stringFromDate:(NSDate *)date{
NSDateFormatter *dateFormat = [[NSDateFormatter alloc] init];
[dateFormat setDateFormat:@"dd.MM.yyyy"];
return [dateFormat stringFromDate:date];

will be helpful for those in need This is possible.
First, create a Core Data model and add an entity called IntegerEntity. In the entity, add a property called value whose type is Integer 64. Now generate the NSManagedObject subclass.
code :
convenience init(entity: NSEntityDescription, insertIntoManagedObjectContext context: NSManagedObjectContext?, value: Int) {
    self.init(entity: entity, insertIntoManagedObjectContext: context)
    self.value = value
}
// Just some boilerplate code here
let dataContext: NSManagedObjectContext! = (UIApplication.sharedApplication().delegate as? AppDelegate)?.managedObjectContext
var integerEntity: IntegerEntity!
if dataContext != nil {
    let entity = NSEntityDescription.entityForName("IntegerEntity", inManagedObjectContext: dataContext)
    let request = NSFetchRequest()
    request.entity = entity
    let integer = try? dataContext.executeFetchRequest(request)
    // If some integer has already been saved...
    if integer != nil && !integer.isEmpty {
        (integer?.first! as! IntegerEntity).value = counter
    } else {
        // If no integer has been saved before...
        let newInt = IntegerEntity(entity: entity, insertIntoManagedObjectContext: context, value: counter)
        dataContext.saveData()
    }
}
extension NSManagedObjectContext {
    func saveData() -> Bool {
        do {
            try self.save()
            return true
        } catch let error as NSError {
            print(error)
            return false;
        }
    }
}
let dataContext: NSManagedObjectContext! = (UIApplication.sharedApplication().delegate as? AppDelegate)?.managedObjectContext
    var integerEntity: IntegerEntity!
    if dataContext != nil {
        let entity = NSEntityDescription.entityForName("IntegerEntity", inManagedObjectContext: dataContext)
        let request = NSFetchRequest()
        request.entity = entity
        let integer = try? dataContext.executeFetchRequest(request)
        // If some integer has already been saved...
        if integer != nil && !integer.isEmpty {
            counter = (integer!.first! as! IntegerEntity).value.integerValue
        } else {
            // If no integer has been saved before...
            counter = 0
        }
    }
