it should still fix some issue Options for the selection xtype can be set dynamically in two ways
setting the options property to a path that returns a JSON array of options Writing a function that sets the options (using setOptions method ) and passing this function as the value for optionsProvider property.

I wish this helpful for you I want to have option for select list dynamically. I want to populate select list for year values dynamically using java script. It should be current year to next 10 years as drop down, any idea? , Quick and dirty, this will do the trick:
code :
window.onload = function(){
    var year = (new Date()).getFullYear(), select = document.getElementById("year"), option = null, next_year = null;
    for(var i = 0; i <= 10; i++) {
        option = document.createElement("option");
        next_year = parseInt(year, 10) + i;
        option.value = next_year;
        option.innerHTML = next_year;

wish of those help The code I wrote works, but it could be better. I am writing out the same function three times, one for each of the combo box elements. I am stuck on how to make this more efficient. I have looked at creating an object and putting each of the variables in an array, but I was not able to successfully get it working. , The obvious first step is to refactor out the shared code. So:
code :
$(function () {
  // Temp test stuff to populate option list
  var selectObj = document.getElementById("combobox2")
  if (selectObj) {
    for (var i=0; i < csKeyword.length;++i){
        addOption(selectObj, csKeyword[i], csKeyword[i]);

( ... etc ... )
function populate(id, collection) {
  var selectObj = document.getElementById(id)
  if (selectObj) {
    for (var i=0; i < collection.length;++i){
        addOption(selectObj, collection[i], collection[i]);

$(function () {
  populate ("combobox1", csCategory);
  populate ("combobox2", csKeyword);
  populate ("combobox3", csEntity);

it should still fix some issue I would suggest you simplify your data as a collection, instead of nested objects, that way you can abstract more easily:
code :
var timeTable = [{
  "recordPurchaseTimeValue": "",
  "recordPurchaseTimeAmount": "Select"
}, {
  "recordPurchaseTimeValue": "3-6",
  "recordPurchaseTimeAmount": "3-6 months"
}, {
  "recordPurchaseTimeValue": "6-9",
  "recordPurchaseTimeAmount": "6-9 months"
}, {
  "recordPurchaseTimeValue": "9-12",
  "recordPurchaseTimeAmount": "9-12 months"
}, {
  "recordPurchaseTimeValue": "12",
  "recordPurchaseTimeAmount": "Over 12 months"

var priceTable = [{
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "Select"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "75k-100k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$75,000 - $100,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "100k-125k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$100,000 - $125,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "125k-150k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$125,000 - $150,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "150k-200k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$150,000 - $200,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "200k-250k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$200,000 - $250,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "250k-300k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$250,000 - $300,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "300k-350k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$300,000 - $350,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "350k-400k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$350,000 - $400,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "400k-500k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$400,000 - $500,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "500k-700k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$500,000 - $700,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "700k-900k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$700,000 - $900,000"
}, {
  "recordPurchasePriceValue": "900k",
  "recordPurchasePriceAmount": "$900,000"
function populateSelect(select, data, attrs) {
  var frag = document.createDocumentFragment();
  data.forEach(function(option) {
    var opt = document.createElement('option');
    for (var i in attrs) {
      opt[i] = option[attrs[i]];

var time = document.getElementById('recordPurchaseTimeFrameID');
var price = document.getElementById('recordPurchasePriceRangeID');

populateSelect(time, timeTable, {
  value: 'recordPurchaseTimeValue',
  textContent: 'recordPurchaseTimeAmount'

populateSelect(price, priceTable, {
  value: 'recordPurchasePriceValue',
  textContent: 'recordPurchasePriceAmount'

seems to work fine Ultimately the 'checkbox' xtype doesn't work because it is designed in a way that doesn't preserve the state on its own, as @Emin commented.
When a user loads a component that uses a 'checkbox' xtype in the dialog, the first load of that page the underlying JCR node does not have any dialog properties stored for that checkbox because it hasn't been author-configured yet. Then, if the author checks the box to configure it and saves the dialog, the form submission in the dialog will include the selection and the property will be saved the the repository as having been checked.
