it should still fix some issue I have to determine how many rows are active from each Table. Then return the answers in one query AND put the results in a Table Variable. , do you want something like?:
code :
SELECT count(*) as cnt FROM [dbo].[ADF_Path] WHERE PathActive is NULL
union all
SELECT count(*) FROM [dbo].[ADF_Course] WHERE CourseActive = '1' OR CourseActive = 'y'
union all
SELECT count(*) FROM [dbo].[ADF_Event] WHERE EventActive = 'y'
select sum(cnt) from ( <union query from above> ) as t

will help you In this solution, I took the daring assumption that the company names in each of the tables are unique by using Union All. If they are not, then you can switch back to Union but you'll get the performance hit of making the list unique. Basically, I'm eliminating your need for correlated subqueries to return the counts by using derived tables.
code :
Select Companies.CompanyID, Companies.CompanyName
    , Coalesce(ItemTotals.ItemCount,0) As ItemCount
From    (
        Select a.aID As CompanyID, a.aName As CompanyName
        From companiesA As a
        Where a.aName Like '%<string>%'
        Union All
        Select b.IDB, b.nameB
        From companiesB As b
        Where b.bName Like '%<string>%'
        ) As Companies
    Left Join   (
                Select companyID, Count(*) As ItemCount
                From items
                Group By companyID
                ) As ItemTotals
            On ItemTotals.companyID = Companies.CompanyID
Order By Company.CompanyName
Select Z.CompanyId, Z.CompanyName, Z.ItemCount
From    (
        Select A.companyID, A.aName As CompanyName
            , Count(I.CompanyID) As ItemCount
        From companiesA As A
            Left Join items As I
                On I.CompanyId = A.CompanyId
        Where A.aName Like '%<string>%'
        Group By A.companyID, A.aName
        Union All
        Select B.companyID, B.bName, Count(I.CompanyID)
        From companiesB As B
            Left Join items As I
                On I.CompanyId = B.CompanyId
        Where B.bName Like '%<string>%'
        Group By B.companyID, B.bName
        ) As Z

With these it helps I am fetching data from some tables & storing it in a variable like below-: , For Oracle, like below :
code :
INSERT ALL
   INTO your_table(column1,column2,column3) VALUES('values1.1', 'values1.2', 'values1.3')
   INTO your_table(column1,column2,column3) VALUES('values2.1', 'values2.2', 'values2.3')
SELECT * FROM dual;

fixed the issue. Will look into that further In order to join each row from tableA with each row from tableB you must do a cross join, i.e.
code :
select tableA.*,tableB.*,
111.045* DEGREES(ACOS(COS(RADIANS(tableA.latitude)) * COS(RADIANS(tableB.latitude)) * COS(RADIANS(tableA.longitude) -
RADIANS(tableB.longitude)) + SIN(RADIANS(tableA.latitude)) * SIN(RADIANS(tableB.latitude)))) AS distance_in_km
from tableA
cross join tableB
HAVING distance <10

I hope this helps you . I have three tables T1, T2 and T3 with every table as bpm_no common in all the tables. Table T1 is the main table. T1 have every row with unique bpm_no (not repeating). Table T2 includes two column one is bpm_no and another is user, here one bpm_no can occur multiple times with different users working on same bpm_no. Table T3 includes two column one is bpm_no and another is total_outstanding, here also one bpm_no can occur multiple times with different total_outstanding, as one bpm_no can have different outstanding from different bank. , Try this one...
Table Script and Sample data
code :
CREATE TABLE [T1](
    [bpm_no] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
    [name] [nvarchar](50) NULL
)

CREATE TABLE [T2](
    [bpm_no] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
    [user] [nvarchar](50) NULL
)

CREATE TABLE [T3](
    [bpm_no] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
    [loan_os] [decimal](18, 0) NULL
)

INSERT [T1] ([bpm_no], [name]) VALUES (N'abc_0011', N'john')

INSERT [T2] ([bpm_no], [user]) VALUES (N'abc_0011', N'abc')

I wish this helpful for you I am trying to create a dynamic table mapping a set of enemy courses of actions in the columns to friendly courses of actions in the rows. Each cell in the table will have a 2x2 matrix with each cell showing the number of friendly casualties, ammo loss, fuel loss, and equipment loss. All cells cross each course of action will be filled with a 2x2 table. , I can only answer your first question:
code :
$scope.plans = [{"plan": "Blue COA 1"},{"plan": "Blue COA 2"},{"plan": "Blue COA 3"},{"plan": "Blue COA 4"},{"plan": "Blue COA 5"}];
 <tr ng-repeat="plan in plans">
   <td>{{plan}}</td>
<tr ng-repeat="plan in plans">
  <td>{{plan.plan}}</td>
