should help you out It seems you are not the first one with this issue.
Basically you just need to do something like the following:
code :
fs.readFile(filePath, 'utf8', function (err, fileContents) {
    // Remove BOM character if there is one at the start of the file.
    if(fileContents.charCodeAt(0) == 65279) fileContents = fileContents.substr(1);
}

around this issue Without port options, both mongod and mongo use the default port number 27017. The output from your rails console reports that it is trying to connect to port 9100. Please check your MongoMapper configuration in config/mongo.yml, correlated with your checking of environment variable RAILS_ENV.

wish helps you I recommend using the graceful-fs module for this purpose. It will automatically limit the number of open file descriptors. It's written by Isaac Schlueter, the creator of npm and maintainer of Node, so it's pretty solid. The bare fs module lets you shoot yourself in the foot.

To fix the issue you can do I've found a good way of doing it that requires no third-party adapter (eg. Chutzpah). It involves getting Mocha to output its report in an XML format, and setting up Visual Studio Team Services to publish the results in an extra step of the build definition.
I installed mocha-junit-reporter (https://www.npmjs.com/package/mocha-junit-reporter) and altered my test script to the following:

help you fix your problem You could create a script which does this in your package.json. You simply need to create the directory and copy everything required for running your application in production to it and no more.
code :
//package.json
{
  //...
  "scripts": {
    "dist": "mkdir -p dist && cp -R node_modules src server.js ... dist"
  }
  //...
}
