I hope this helps . Which tools do you guys use? How do demangle c++ symbols do be able to pass it to profiler tools, such as opannotate? , Use nm to see all symbols and c++filt to demangle.
Example:
code :
nm -an foo | c++filt
xdotool : how to wait so file opens and then execute ( xdotool windowactivate --sync $a )

This might help you What we have here is a code that looks for the title , Not quite sure what the user is having issues with but here we go:
code :
a=`xdotool search --name "AAA"`
if [[ "$a" ]]; then
   xdotool windowactivate --sync $a
   xdotool windowmove --sync $a 377 153
else
   leafpad '/media/1/AAA'
   sleep 5
   a=`xdotool search --name "AAA"`    # <-- You need this
   xdotool windowactivate --sync $a # <-- Otherwise $a will be empty (think about it)
   xdotool windowmove --sync $a 377 153

this will help The "No such file or directory" error can be a bit confusing if the file is there and executable. You will also get that error on executing a file if the ELF interpreter (the program that performs the shared library linking) isn't found.
That is what happens here. The relevant lines from readelf -l Test:
code :
INTERP         0x0000000000000238 0x0000000000400238 0x0000000000400238
               0x000000000000002e 0x000000000000002e  R      1
    [Requesting program interpreter: I:\Linux\libs\lib\x86_64-linux-gnu\ld-2.17.so]
$ ldd /bin/true
    linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007fff1bbff000)
    libc.so.6 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0x00007f94ff99f000)

read debug/static symbols when on own process on linux without disk I/O in C/Linux?

read debug/static symbols when on own process on linux without disk I/O in C/Linux?

I wish did fix the issue. The static/debug symbols in ELF-files are encoded in DWARF-format. They can be discovered via analyzing debug information. However, all .debug_* sections seems are simply not loaded by Operating system (see), because they are quite big and useless for the program execution (they become useful only when program is debugged).
So, the answer is: when debug symbols are needed the executable have to be read from disk via own forces.
