Hope this helps I'm using javascript and regex to scan a sentence for a particular word('schiz') then return the match along with 5 words in front of and behind my queried word. , \ is a special character in a string literal, you have to escape it
code :
"([^\\s]+\\s){0,5}"+query+"([^\\s]+\\s){0,5}"

this one helps. The feature you are trying to achieve is the good way of writing softwares by exposing your API for outside world to act on it. I do that all the time while I write Drupal modules and Javascript and it makes really easy to extend the existing behaviours in the future. So its very good practice to expose you API as much as possible. If you are using Jquery you can achieve this behaviour using Jquery trigger API http://api.jquery.com/trigger/.
For instance, you want to expose your element behaviour once the element is completely hidden. Then you can do it like this:
code :
function hide_element() {

 $('#my_element').hide(function() {
    $(this).trigger('elementHidden');
    //if you want to pass arguments
    //$(this).trigger('elementHidden', [argument1, argument2]);
 });
}
//if no arguments
$('#my_element').on('elementHidden', function () {
   //they will do their thing

});
// if arguments
$('#my_element').on('elementHidden', function (event, argument1, argument2) {
   //they will do their thing

});

I think the issue was by ths following , That is simply because is the first example, your mousemove event is binded on the body while in the second one, it is binded on the element itself.
Now, when you move you mouse in the first example, you'Re always on the body. But in the second example, since your move right on your cursor, when you mouse your cursor to the left, you are not on the div anymore. Your event will not trigger. But when you move on the right, your mouse move on the div since it is place at the right of the cursor.
code :
addEvent(document.body,"mousemove",souris);
addEvent(document.body,"click",clique);
//or
addEvent(document,"mousemove",souris);
addEvent(document,"click",clique);

Hope that helps Your first problem is assuming that Javascript behaves like C++. There are some similarities, but many differences. You should not immediately EXPECT that something that works in C++ will work in Javascript. They are not the same language and this is a common problem when C++ developers start learning Javascript (it happened to me too).

I wish this helpful for you JavaScript property names are strings. 2 is a number. === does not do type conversion. "2" !== 2.
You should set current_value to "2" instead of 2.
code :
var extracted;
if (current_value in json_data) {
    extracted = json_data[current_value];
}
