I wish did fix the issue. Okay, so from your error message your problem is with the cd Desktop; part of your C program. Two possible fixes:

seems to work fine If you are playing with the kernel, you must use C. There are several books, like Essential Linux Device Drivers, which give you the basics of structures, where to run your code, etc.
In general, many servers are written in C, and sometimes C++. Popular libraries include Glib, libevent, boost (for C++).

Hope that helps Using system("echo 1 > file"); literally isn't a security risk, just a needless execution of another process where you don't need one.
The risk comes in when you build a string programmatically and then use it with system(). Then you have a risk of Shell Command Injection, where you thought you were building one command, but a malicious user subverts your program by giving you carefully crafted inputs that cause your command to do something you didn't expect.

I hope this helps you . After 2 days of headache and lots of googling... i found the solution in the link http://www.mombu.com/php/php-5-forum/t-24759-exec-or-system-et-all-cause-an-infinite-loop-of-starting-requested-program-8469354.html
It was PHP CGI version which reads script name from the environment thus causing my calling script to run infinite number of times or untill the maximum number of allowed process or till whole memory was consumed.

exec("php -l ".$tmpfname,$error);
exec("php-cli -l ".$tmpfname,$error);

it should still fix some issue In bash, you can use patterns stored in variables under the extglob shell option:
code :
shopt -s extglob
case "$ip_addr" in
    @($column2)) check_func "$column3" "$column4" ;;
    *) echo Unknown. ;;
esac
#! /bin/bash
shopt -s extglob
IFS_backup=$IFS
IFS=,
while read -r column1 column2 column3 column4 ; do
    ...
done < file.csv

this one helps. POSIX provides this functionality via the getpwent function:
code :
#include <iostream>
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <pwd.h>

int main() {
    while (true) {
        errno = 0; // so we can distinguish errors from no more entries
        passwd* entry = getpwent();
        if (!entry) {
            if (errno) {
                std::cerr << "Error reading password database\n";
                return EXIT_FAILURE;
            }
            break;
        }
        std::cout << entry->pw_name << '\n';
    }
    endpwent();
}
