hope this fix your issue In your html you are trying to access data through settings.tab and settings.tabs and I don't see where you define that settings...
Following the code you posted here I created this solution: http://codepen.io/anon/pen/raMbGr
code :
<li ng-repeat="t in tab">
  <a ng-click="tabs($index)">

<div ng-if="tab[0].active">
  Content 1, true by default. Hides and shows as nav is toggled.

<div ng-if="tab[1].active">
  Content 2, false by default. Never shows as nav is toggled.

Why does the output fail to show the content of a variable after merely adding a cout line?

wish helps you The problem is because the value that name is pointing to has been destroyed. You are returning the address of a local variable from Marks::name(). Most likely a side affect of the first cout is causing the contents of name to be destroyed. You're probably just getting lucky when the first cout is commented out.
The correct way to do this is to allocate some memory, return that, and then destroy it when you're done:
code :
char* Marks::name()
    char* temp = new char[30];
    cout<<"Enter a name:"<<endl;
    return temp;

int main ()
    char *name;
    Marks test1;

    delete[] name;

    return 0;

To fix the issue you can do Here is a jsBin showing how I did it with ng-show and ng-hide
code :
<div ng-show="entities.length === 0">

<table ng-hide="entities.length === 0" id="example-datatables" class="table table-striped table-bordered table-hover">
        <th class="span1"></th>
        <th><i class="icon-bookmark"></i> Nombre</th>
        <th><i class="icon-bookmark"></i> Padre</th>
        <th><i class="icon-bolt"></i> Descripción</th>
    <tr ng-repeat="item in MetaDetailGroup">
        <td class="span1">
            <div class="btn-group">
                <a href="#/detailsgroup/edit/{% verbatim %}{{ item.id }}{% endverbatim %}" data-toggle="tooltip" title="Editar" class="btn btn-mini btn-success"><i class="icon-pencil"></i></a>
                <a href="#/detailsgroup/delete/{% verbatim %}{{ item.id }}{% endverbatim %}" data-toggle="tooltip" title="Eliminar" class="btn btn-mini btn-danger"><i class="icon-remove"></i></a>
        <td><a href="javascript:void(0)">{% verbatim %}{{ item.name }}{% endverbatim %}</a></td>
        <td><a href="javascript:void(0)">{% verbatim %}{{ item.parent }}{% endverbatim %}</a></td>
        <td>{% verbatim %}{{ item.description }}{% endverbatim %}</td>

seems to work fine I have the following Trade object class. , Define cellfactory as;
code :
Callback<TableColumn<Trade, String>, TableCell<Trade, String>> cellFactory
    = new Callback<TableColumn<Trade, String>, TableCell<Trade, String>>()
        public TableCell call( TableColumn<Trade, String> p )
            return new EditingItemIDCell();
private void createTextField()
    NumberFormat nf = NumberFormat.getIntegerInstance();
    textField = new TextField();

    // add filter to allow for typing only integer
    textField.setTextFormatter( new TextFormatter<>( c ->

        if (c.getControlNewText().isEmpty()) {
            return c;
        } // for the No.2 issue in the comment

        ParsePosition parsePosition = new ParsePosition( 0 );
        Object object = nf.parse( c.getControlNewText(), parsePosition );

        if ( object == null || parsePosition.getIndex() < c.getControlNewText().length() )
            return null;
            return c;
    } ) );

    textField.setText( getString() );

    textField.setMinWidth( this.getWidth() - this.getGraphicTextGap() * 2 );

    // commit on Enter
    textField.setOnAction( new EventHandler<ActionEvent>()
        public void handle( ActionEvent event )
            commitEdit( textField.getText() );
    } );

    textField.focusedProperty().addListener( new ChangeListener<Boolean>()
        public void changed( ObservableValue<? extends Boolean> arg0,
                Boolean arg1, Boolean arg2 )
            if ( !arg2 )
                commitEdit( textField.getText() );
    } );

public void setItemID( String itemID )
    this.itemID.set( "0" );
    int id = Integer.parseInt( itemID );
    this.itemID.set( String.format( "%04d", id ) );
public void startEdit()
    if ( !isEmpty() )
        setText( null );
        setGraphic( textField );
        // textField.selectAll(); commenting out this because
        // JavaFX confuses the caret position described in the comment
        // as OP has observed. Seems to be a bug.
if (c.getControlNewText().isEmpty()) {
    return c;

it helps some times As of v1.1.4, there is an option to always show.
code :
    <panel-item :field="field">
        <template slot="value">
            <excerpt :content="field.value" />
<div v-if="hasContent">
    <div v-if="expanded" class="markdown leading-normal" v-html="content" />

        class="cursor-pointer dim inline-block text-primary font-bold"
        :class="{ 'mt-6': expanded }"
        {{ showHideLabel }}
props: {
    content: {
        type: String,

data: () => ({ expanded: false }),
