I hope this helps you . SQLite is used in many situations where a database server isn't required. Apple uses it for things like their Mail app. You can use some of the built-ins of Xcode (like sqlite.h) or a command-line shim of some kind. Other variants of SQL will require a separate download.
Core Data uses an object model which may be more convenient in a storage sense, though it has a moderate footprint and learning curve, and it's not cross-platform. Which may be important for the data migration that's common with database work.

Any of those help I do not have any experience with windows azure mobile services but I have many experience in writing APIs for different front ends (mobile/win/web/widgets) and never heart about any conventions/conversions in commercial space. My advice is. If you need to push data to mobile application use some service that can do it or write yours. If you are going to write push notifications service you will need server to run it. If the application will only pull data from server or push to it than better use same REST-like interface you already have. It can to avoid code duplication and will create some data exchange standard between you front ends and back end. Hope it will help you.

Any of those help The problem is that you added TableName in the chain.
You are basically asking to turn the TableName in an IEnumerable (which returns an IEnumerable) and for every char of the table name string your are trying to call .Field which of course does not exist.
code :

//Notice TableName being removed
var stringArr = DtSet.Tables["Results"].AsEnumerable().Select(r => r.Field<string>("ExampleId")).ToArray();
