Error using Take to get the first 10 elements of a generic list

Error using Take to get the first 10 elements of a generic list

I think the issue was by ths following , You have a couple things going on here:
As @Gunther34567 pointed out, you are trying to call the Take extension method as if it is a static method. As a extension method, you need to call Take using an instance of List rather than the class itself – so numberList.Take(10) rather than List.Take(10). Even if Take was a static method, you would be trying to call it using an invalid class. List is not a valid class: you would rather need List as I showed above. This is what the error message you saw was trying to explain – where would be the required type argument.

hop of those help? List is capitalized, so you're referencing the Class instead of the instance "list".
You should consider changing the variable name to something useful, and less vague or error prone so you can catch these faster, or prevent them entirely.
Without specifying a generic type, method does not return a list of elements, but simply a list

will be helpful for those in need I am having a slight inconvenience when working with generics in Java. Please consider the following code: , If you change MyElementList to look like
code :
public static class MyElementList<T extends MyElement> {

  //Properties
  private List<T> elementList = new ArrayList<T>();

  //CTOR
  public MyElementList(List<T> initElements) {
      elementList.addAll(initElements);
  }

  //Getter
  public List<T> getElements() {
      return Collections.unmodifiableList(elementList);
  }
}
MyElementList<MyElement> theList = new MyElementList<MyElement>(theElements);

this one helps. Well, yes. You're filtering by the Select field - but the result of that filtering is still a sequence of rows. I would expect that to be what you want - after all, you know the value of the Select field in every row, so that can't be interesting...
I think you probably just want:
code :
List<DataRow> rows = NewTable.AsEnumerable()
                             .Where(row => row.Field<string>("Select") == "true")
                             .ToList();
List<string> rows = NewTable.AsEnumerable()
                            .Where(row => row.Field<string>("Select") == "true")
                            .Select(row => row.Field<string>("LastName"))
                            .ToList();

I think the issue was by ths following , I don't understand why you are implementing IEnumerable in EventDetailsViewModel, maybe I'm missing the bigger picture here. In order to resolve the specific issue of incorrect model type you can make such changes:
First, simplify the view model (and change Id type to int):
code :
public class EventDetailsViewModel
{
    public int EventId { get; set; }
}
public ActionResult Widget()
{
    var eventIds = ViewEventPropertyService.Get()
        .Select(y => new EventDetailsViewModel { EventId = y.EventId })
        .ToList();
    return PartialView("Widget", eventIds);
}

I wish this helpful for you I am trying to learn C# by making a simple program that shows the user sushi rolls given their desired ingredients. i.e. a user wants a roll with crab, and the program will spit out a list of sushi rolls that contain crab. , To use RemoveAll you can rewrite your condition to this:
code :
list.RemoveAll(roll => !ingredients.All(roll.checkForIngredient));
list.RemoveAll(roll => !ingredients.All(i => roll.checkForIngredient(i)));
foreach(Roll roll in Rolls.ToList())
list.RemoveAll(roll => !ingredients.All(roll.checkForIngredient));
list.RemoveAll(delegate(Roll roll)
{
    return !ingredients.All(roll.checkForIngredient);
});
list.RemoveAll(roll => !ingredients.All(roll.checkForIngredient));
list.RemoveAll(delegate(Roll roll)
{
    bool all = true;
    foreach (var ingredient in ingredients)
        if (!roll.checkForIngredient(ingredient))
        {
            all = false;
            break;
        }

    return !all;
});
