I wish did fix the issue. The problem is caused by the way Grunt spawns child tasks. By default, the spawned child process uses the same debug port as a parent process - as a result the forked process is suspended and the application 'stalls'. See How to fork a child process that listens on a different debug port than the parent, for example.
Please try adding

To fix the issue you can do I hit the books and figured out enough to correct the issue I was having. I was able to remove that code that was near the end of my script completely. I corrected this issue by spawning the thread pool differently.
code :
for i in range(queue.qsize()):
  td = ThreadDownload(queue)
  td.start()
queue.join()
  try:
    img_url = self.queue.get()
     ...
  except Queue.Empty:
     ...

This might help you I'm not sure that this is a good idea to debug IJ by itself. If you'll stop at any break point (with all threads suspending) you will not be able to work with IJ because it's frozen.
You can attach the remote debugger to another instance if you start IJ with parameters that can be found in the remote run/debug configuration.
