I wish this help you OK, I've solved the issue by moving the build-helper-maven-plugin to prepare-package phase, and add the following
code :
<plugin>
                <artifactId>maven-resources-plugin</artifactId>
                <version>2.7</version>
                <executions>
                    <execution>
                        <id>copy-test-resources</id>
                        <phase>pre-integration-test</phase>
                        <goals>
                            <goal>copy-resources</goal>
                        </goals>
                        <configuration>
                            <outputDirectory>${project.build.testOutputDirectory}</outputDirectory>
                            <resources>
                                <resource>
                                    <directory>${project.basedir}/src/test/resources</directory>
                                    <includes>
                                        <include>*.properties</include>
                                    </includes>
                                    <filtering>true</filtering>
                                </resource>
                            </resources>
                        </configuration>
                    </execution>
                </executions>
            </plugin>

I wish did fix the issue. I am not sure if this is the same case since my dependencies is different. I got similar error message with the same dependencies error so I removed both dependencies from ~/.m2/repository/jaxen/jaxen/1.1.3/jaxen-1.1.3.pom and the project is compile fine now.

will be helpful for those in need Include info for the maven-project-info-reports-plugin in the plugin section (where for example also the maven-resources-plugin is specified):
code :
<plugins>
        <plugin>
            <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
            <artifactId>maven-resources-plugin</artifactId>
            <version>2.6</version>
            <executions>
                <execution>
                    <phase>test</phase>
                    <goals>
                        <goal>resources</goal>
                        <goal>testResources</goal>
                    </goals>
                </execution>
            </executions>
        </plugin>

it should still fix some issue The error message says it is in offline mode.
If you are not building with the -o or --offline on the command line then there is probably an element in your settings.xml file.

like below fixes the issue You will note from the docs that cobertura:cobertura
Must be wired as a report Instruments, tests and generates a report Runs in its own lifecycle cobertura (not the default lifecycle) Invokes lifecycle phase test before running itself
