With these it helps Check this article from Microsoft Support: "How to serialize an object to XML by using Visual C#" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815813 - here is explained how to serialize your objects into XML - it's one form of serialization. There are other options of course.
Once you have a serialized object you can save the result into a file.
code :
Player myPlayer = new Player();
using (StreamWriter writer = File.CreateText("player.xml"))
{
    System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer x = new System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer(myPlayer.GetType());
    x.Serialize(writer, myPlayer);
}

it fixes the issue The new iframe embed style uses the html5 video tags, so the old api wont work. Perhaps considering javascript to modify the player, but at that point I don't know for another way doing it. It's very new...

I wish did fix the issue. I believe you are using the wrong API end point for this. Utilize the GetUserStatsForGame end point instead.
Your call will look like this:
code :
http://api.steampowered.com/ISteamUserStats/GetUserStatsForGame/v0002/?appid=730&key=<<KEY>>&steamid=<<PROFILEID>>
{
    "playerstats": {
        "steamID": "7656-EDITED-OUT",
        "gameName": "ValveTestApp260",
        "stats": [
            {
                "name": "total_kills",
                "value": 110527
            },
            {
                "name": "total_deaths",
                "value": 95930
            },
            {
                "name": "total_time_played",
                "value": 5784386
            },
            {
                "name": "total_planted_bombs",
                "value": 2726
            },
            {
                "name": "total_defused_bombs",
                "value": 594
            },
            {
                "name": "total_wins",
                "value": 26937
            },
            ...
        ]
    }
}
Class extension (player.STR to player.Stats.STR)

Class extension (player.STR to player.Stats.STR)

I hope this helps you . You need to return a class with those statistics. Create another class called Statistics. Add a property to the class Player and then access it the way you have shown it.
code :
public class Player
    {

        public class Statistics
        {

            public int STR;
            public int INT;
            public int DEX;
            public int VIT;
        }

        public Player()
        {
            this.Stats = new Player.Statistics()
            {
                STR = 1,
                INT = 1,
                DEX = 1,
                VIT = 1
            };
        }

        public Statistics Stats {get;set;}

    }
