around this issue getElementById returns a DOM element object.
$ returns a jQuery object. Passing it a string containing an id selector causes it to populate the jQuery object with a DOM element object.
code :

Share : facebook icon twitter icon

I wish did fix the issue. Because getElementsByClassName returns an array-like object of all child elements which have all of the given class names.
Use this instead if you want to do it by class
code :
function movefun() {
    var elements = document.getElementsByClassName("move");
    for (var i = 0; i < elements.length; i++) {
        elements[i].style.paddingLeft = "50px";
    }
}

it helps some times document.getElementById() gets the element with the matching ID from the document.
document.body.getElementById() does not exist.
