UncaughtExceptionHandler not catching exception

To fix this issue The RuntimeException being raised from a static initializer, it happens when your main class is loaded. It is then caught by the system class loader, which wraps it into an ExceptionInInitializerError, then exits from the JVM. Since the exception is caught, your default uncaught exception handler is never invoked.

hope this fix your issue Small example: , The Java API documentation says:
code :
void uncaughtException(Thread t, Throwable e)
        public void uncaughtException(Thread t, Throwable e) {
            if (e instanceof RuntimeException) {

To fix this issue UncaughtExceptionHandlers are called by thread where exception is not handled. Activities and Services are not relevant in this process. Handler set with setDefaultUncaughtExceptionHandler is called for uncaught exceptions in all threads of your app, except these threads where specific handler is set with setUncaughtExceptionHandler. To answer your question - you only have to set default handler once.

around this issue Obviously, the second approach fits the DRY principle and is recommended. But, ideally you should only catch exceptions if you can recover from them.
If the only thing you want is to log them, it's preferred to have this code as high up the call chain as possible. Going through the logs and seeing the same exception logged multiple times is no fun and just makes debugging and maintenance harder.

like below fixes the issue It sounds like you are talking about the Java Invocation API (i.e., you are calling Java methods from within a C++ program, as opposed to simple JNI where the calls go the other way.)
I'm not a big expert, but I have worked with the Java Invocation API.
code :
jobject return_value = (*env)->CallObjectMethod(env, instance, method_id, ...);

I think the issue was by ths following , If you don't have a stack trace, it could mean that there are some crazy exceptions thrown in your code (see Exception without stack trace in Java), but it is more likely that the JVM is re-using exception objects as a performance optimization and the -XX:-OmitStackTraceInFastThrow JVM option would help you.
