Update jQuery Datepicker UI without Changing the Associated Input

Update jQuery Datepicker UI without Changing the Associated Input

To fix this issue Maybe I misunderstand your question but why don't you just set the user value back in the input after calling the datePicker setDate? This will update the datePicker date after each keypress and will keep the user value in the input:
code :
$($ele[0]).datepicker('setDate', date);
$ele.val(value);

I wish did fix the issue. All I did was add an asp:hiddenfield. When I caculate the paydate I send the value to both fields. That way I never need to remove the disabled property from the visible datepicker, and I can use the hiddenfield value in vb.

Update hidden input element with weekday value from jQuery Datepicker plugin

Update hidden input element with weekday value from jQuery Datepicker plugin

will be helpful for those in need I’m just not familiar enough with jQuery to get this working. Using the jQuery Datepicker plugin, and with already some help, I have it working except for also updating the hidden input element with the selected week day value. Everything I’ve tried interferes with the function of the Datepicker plugin. Any help would be welcomed. , Use .val() to fill in the hidden input.
code :
function pickdate() {
    var days = ['Sunday', 'Monday', 'Tuesday', 'Wednesday', 'Thursday', 'Friday', 'Saturday' ];
    var selecteddate = $("#Datepicker").datepicker('getDate');
    var weekday = days[selecteddate.getDay()];
    $('#Datepickerday').html(weekday);
    $('#weekday').val(weekday);

}
$("#Datepicker").datepicker( {
    altField: 'weekday',
    altFormat: 'DD',
    onSelect: function(datestring, dp) {
        var selecteddate = dp('getDate');
        $("#Datepickerday").text($.datepicker.formatDate(selecteddate, 'DD'));
    }
});

like below fixes the issue You can check below code. We are setting the unique class to each newly added text field and initializing the datepicker on newly added textfield only. In your code you were re-initializing the existing textfields hence previously selected dates were getting overridden.
code :
var datePickerOptions = {
  dateFormat: 'd/m/yy',
  firstDay: 1,
  changeMonth: true,
  changeYear: true
}

$(document).ready(function() {
  $('.datepicker').datepicker(datePickerOptions);

  var scntDivA = $('#main');
  var ii = $('#main span').size() + 1;

  $('#addInput').on('click', function() {

    //adding the unique class like datepicker_number
var newText = $("<input type=\"text\" id=\"mydate_"+ii+"\" name=\"mydate[]\" class=\"datepicker datepicker_"+ii+"\">");

    $(newText).appendTo(scntDivA);

    //initializing the datepicker only on newly added textfield with class like datepicker_number
    $('.datepicker_'+ii).datepicker(datePickerOptions);
    ii++;
    return false;
  });
});

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.11.0/jquery-ui.js"></script>

<div id="main">
  <span>
    <input type="text" id="mydate" name="mydate[]" class="datepicker">
    </span>
</div>
