To fix the issue you can do put the sound clip inside the android raw folder.
put the MediaPlayer object inside the alert postive onclick function android
code :
public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int which) {
final MediaPlayer mp = MediaPlayer.create(MainActivity.this, R.raw.clip);
mp.start();
switch(checkedId)
{
case R.id.radio0:
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),
"You got it", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT)
.show();
break;
case R.id.radio1:
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),
"Wrong", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT)
.show();
break;
case R.id.radio2:
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),
"Draw", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT)
.show();
break;

}
}
}
);

like below fixes the issue UPDATED ON Aug 2019 WITH The Material components for android library:
With the new Material components for Android library you can use the new com.google.android.material.dialog.MaterialAlertDialogBuilder class, which extends from the existing androidx.appcompat.AlertDialog.Builder class and provides support for the latest Material Design specifications.
code :
new MaterialAlertDialogBuilder(context)
.setTitle("Dialog")
.setMessage("Lorem ipsum dolor ....")
.setPositiveButton("Ok", /* listener = */ null)
.setNegativeButton("Cancel", /* listener = */ null)
.show();

new MaterialAlertDialogBuilder(context, R.style.ThemeOverlay_MaterialComponents_MaterialAlertDialog)
import android.support.v7.app.AlertDialog

AlertDialog.Builder builder =
new AlertDialog.Builder(this, R.style.AppCompatAlertDialogStyle);
builder.setTitle("Dialog");
builder.setMessage("Lorem ipsum dolor ....");
builder.setPositiveButton("OK", null);
builder.setNegativeButton("Cancel", null);
builder.show();

import android.support.v7.app.AlertDialog

AlertDialog.Builder builder =
new AlertDialog.Builder(this);

fixed the issue. Will look into that further You should be setting materialButtonStyle instead of buttonStyle in your theme.
