Any of those help Yes -- you'll need to create the other user account inside the container according to whatever your container's Linux distro expects (here is an Ubuntu example).
Once you've got the user account set up, you can use the Dockerfile USER parameter to run the remaining commands in the Dockerfile as that user. Please see the PostgreSQL example for a full use case.

I wish this help you I ended up managing it out by mounting the lib folder into the container using docker-compose, like so:
code :
version: '2'
services:
  frontend_web:
    build: .
    volumes:
      - ../../lib:/app/lib

Any of those help Yes there are! If I install a module tested against a certain version of node and thereafter I update my node version, I can’t guarantee that the module will still work as expected.
There is an optional field engines that can be set in the package.json; from here, the module publisher can specify the version of node needed for his module to work, e.g.

I wish this help you Assuming you are using the python:3.6 image which is currently the latest, you need to install some additional libraries.
Dockerfile example (the pip libraries are in the requirements.txt file):
code :
FROM python:3.6

RUN apt-get update -y \
    && apt-get install libsasl2-dev python-dev libldap2-dev libssl-dev libsnmp-dev

COPY requirements.txt requirements.txt

RUN pip install -r requirements.txt
