XML Parsing Error: not well-formed for Twilio

Hope that helps After doing some browser debugging, Firefox told me that the & needed to be escaped. Luckily, Java offers a few utility functions in java.net (URLEncoder) that handles escaping spaces, &, etc.
Here is the new implementation of my method generating the action url:
code :
public String buildActionUrl(String instanceUrl, String action, String rkey) {
    List<NameValuePair> params = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>();
    params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("action", action));
    params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("rkey", rkey));

    String paramString = URLEncodedUtils.format(params, "UTF-8");
    try {
        return URLEncoder.encode(instanceUrl + paramString, "UTF-8");
    } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) {
        logger.error("", e);
        return "."; // return the action to be defaulted to the originating page
public String buildActionUrl(String baseUrl, Map<String, String> parameters, String encoding) throws UnsupportedEncodingException {
    List<NameValuePair> params = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>();
    for (String param : parameters.keySet() ) {
        params.add(new BasicNameValuePair(param, parameters.get(param)));
    return URLEncoder.encode(baseUrl + URLEncodedUtils.format(params, encoding), encoding);

To fix this issue Since the issue is with a & in one of the category names, all you need to do is escape it - there are five characters that need to be escaped in XML:
& - & < - < > " - " ' - '
code :
XmlWriter writer = XmlWriter.Create(Console.Out);
writer.WriteAttributeString("Bar", "Some & value");
writer.WriteElementString("Nested", "data & data");

fixed the issue. Will look into that further There are no “empty” attributes in XML – required is invalid, it has to be of the form attributename="value".
Convention for converting empty HTML attributes to XHTML is repeating the attribute name as value, required="required".

To fix this issue
Does Number of line 1 means that the problem comes from the URL or the following code?
what is this error for in my code in android studio? "error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)&quo
