help you fix your problem As @vptheron correctly points out, sbt does not generate any project directories, with the exception of the target directory when it produces compiled class files.
You might find that functionality in plugins, e.g. np. Also if you use an IDE such as IntelliJ IDEA, creating a new sbt-based project will initialize a couple of directories (such as src).

may help you . I found the solution for above. Turns out i was wrong. It did the same thing in maven also.
To include all the dependecies in maven an additional plugin is used . "maven-dependency-plugin"
code :
jar{
from { configurations.compile.collect { it.isDirectory() ? it : zipTree(it) } }
}

wish help you to fix your issue In summary the best answer so far is to join all the paths from the projects dependencies and all the test.output.resourcesDir and test.output.classesDir
code :
task createSquishClasspath << {
  def paths = new LinkedHashSet()
  paths.addAll(subprojects.configurations.compile.resolvedConfiguration.resolvedArtifacts.file.flatten())
  paths.addAll(subprojects.jar.outputs.files.asPath)
  paths.addAll(subprojects.sourceSets.test.output.resourcesDir)
  paths.addAll(subprojects.sourceSets.test.output.classesDir)

  paths.each {
    println "${it}"
  }

  println paths.join(File.pathSeparator)

}

Does that help we have used git submodules in a similar way, but not using symlinks. The git submodule was checked out into /Assets/Common. No post-checkout hooks, and no cross-platform issues, but some members (mostly designers) of our team had trouble getting the latest version of submodules without explicitly doing a submodule update from the command line. This proved to be so frustrating for them that we decided not to use it anymore (even though I liked it).
