Increasing querying performance for huge dataset

Increasing querying performance for huge dataset

I hope this helps you . I'm new to Hive too, but in general, you can speed up queries like this by adding indexes. You can add indexes on a single field, but often you can also create combined indexes for multiple fields, which add additional performance when you query for a combination of those fields.
Like you say 'sort the timestamp value before hand', that is basically what an index does. You can create an index like so:
code :
CREATE INDEX idx_table
ON TABLE yourtable (A)
AS 'index.handler.class.name'
CREATE INDEX idx_table2
ON TABLE yourtable (A, B, C)
AS 'index.handler.class.name'

Querying DataSet in memory using LINQ vs querying SQL Table directly (dictionary table) - performance

around this issue Finally I got a moment to write a simple test application, but using the real data, so the results are very relevant in this case.
So - once I preloaded around 4k records to Dictionary and did 100k loops over with result of retrieving the data 00:00:00.950095 !!

may help you . I agree with @AndreM96 that the best approach is to display only a limited amount of rows, faster and better UX, this could be done with a pagination or with an infinite scroll.
Infinite scroll with Angular is really simple with limitTo filter. You just have to set the initial limit and when the user asks for more data (I am using a button for simplicity) you increment the limit.
code :
<table>
    <tr ng-repeat="d in data | limitTo:totalDisplayed"><td>{{d}}</td></tr>
</table>
<button class="btn" ng-click="loadMore()">Load more</button>

//the controller
$scope.totalDisplayed = 20;

$scope.loadMore = function () {
  $scope.totalDisplayed += 20;
};

$scope.data = data;

wish helps you So I found that editing the mysql /etc/mysql/my.cnf file and configuring some of the InnoDB settings significantly increased performance.

I hope this helps you . From what I know - there is no hard limit on number of tables in dataset.
At the same time - Native BQ UI has limit of first 10,000 tables in dataset to show.

I think the issue was by ths following ,
I need to calculate the product of two catalan sequences for every single n-value between 0 and 5000 and then summarize those products.
code :
public static void main(String[] args) {
    int n = 5000;

    BigInteger Cn = BigInteger.ONE;
    for (int i = 0; i <= n; i++) {
        Cn = Cn.multiply(BigInteger.valueOf(4 * i + 2)).divide(BigInteger.valueOf(i + 2));
    }

    System.out.println(Cn);
}
