I hope this helps . In the source readme, I found the following line:
code :
jconfig as distributed sets 32bit and no line recall. Edit jconfig as required.
# remove # from next 2 lines to enable readline
# readline=1
# LIBREADLINE=" -lreadline "

this one helps. This might not be of much help but have you checked whether the ghci_history file is being written to in ~/.ghc/ghci_history?

I wish this helpful for you I ended up changing the authentication method. It now retrieves the unique serial number of the BIOS/Motherboard. The serial numbers are now on a secure server and are retrieved by the program. If the serial is found then the execution will continue. If not, the execution will halt.
If people in the company need access to the program, they'll run the program, get access denied (with the serial number in the "access denied" statement), give the admin the serial number, and they'll put it in the system.

this one helps. The default configuration is to buffer 10,000 lines. If you require a larger buffer, you will have to change settings in Preferences->Console->Display->Source Code->Buffer: to increase the number of lines.
