Web API: Method Not Found and Method Not Allowed

I hope this helps you . The # in your URL is used for client side logic, most likely routing, and is completely ignored in your WebAPI routes.
i.e. this URL:
code :
http://serverName/PrestoWebApi/app/#/server/ApplicationServers%5E%5E8
http://serverName/PrestoWebApi/app/
$.ajax({
    url: '/PrestoWebApi/server/InstallApp', // or /PrestoWebApi/api/server/InstallApp
    type: 'POST',
    data: {server: serverAsJson, appWithGroup: appWithGroupAsJson},
    contentType: "application/json",
    success: InstallRequested
});

Hope that helps Here /login and /welcome are expected to be controller(@Controller annotated classes) methods annotated with appropriate @RequestMapping.
One workaround, if all your controller does is to return the view name may be to do the following:
code :
<mvc:view-controller path="/login" view-name="login"/>
<mvc:view-controller path="/welcome" view-name="welcome"/>

Any of those help I also know that problem :)
In this SO question or here it is explained that the method field of an html
only accepts GET and POST as valid values. You are giving it the value DELETE. I suppose that it will fall back to any of the other valid values.
code :
$("#delete_btn").click(function(){
    // send ajax request here
    return false; // prevent the form from submitting
}
<input id="delete_btn" value="Delete entry">
$.ajax({
    url: "your delete url",
    method: "DELETE",
})

hope this fix your issue This is not possible with MVC 6's current implementation. A sad oversight, and one that, along with other abstraction failures on Microsoft's part, drove my team and I to use NancyFx.

this one helps. In your code, it is not clear which code is called when the method is GET (usually when rendering your login page) and which is to be called when method is POST (called when you are submitting your form). To remove the mix up, do like this in your login
code :
@app.route("/login", methods=['GET', 'POST'])
def login():
    # code that runs for both GET and POST goes here
    if request.method == 'POST':
        if form.validate_on_submit():
            #authenticate user and redirect to next page/home page
    return render_template('login.html', title='Login', form=form) #this runs when method is get
<form method=post>
  <dl>
    {{ render_field(form.email) }}
    {{ render_field(form.password) }}
    {{form.hidden_tag()}}
  </dl>
  <input type=submit value=Submit>
</form>
@app.route("/",methods=['GET', 'POST'])#add post on this route
@app.route("/home",methods=['GET', 'POST'])
def home():

seems to work fine It's trying to make a POST to your app but you do not have a handler configured to receive it.
Where you have your GET handler:
