Directory.Exists sensible to time?

Directory.Exists sensible to time?

I think the issue was by ths following , This mishap is pretty normal on Windows. Programs open a handle on a directory like this and specify delete sharing. Which permits anybody to delete the directory, even though the program is using it. The directory won't actually disappear from the file system until that handle is closed. What follows is that trying to recreate that directory cannot work, it still exists. Windows generates an "access denied" error, reported in your C# program with the UnauthorizedAccessException.
While that sounds like an obscure feature, every program in Windows does this. Every process has a default working directory, the value of Environment.CurrentDirectory. Creating a handle on such a directory ensures that it cannot disappear while the program is using it. There are other cases, FileSystemWatcher would be another example. Or a program busy iterating the directory. Anti-malware and search indexers are notorious for hard to diagnose sources of such errors.

I hope this helps . I'm trying to check for if a directory exists as part of a NAnt script and getting a false negative. Here is the script fragment: , You must not use ${} in a nested way:
code :
<echo message="${backup.dir} --> ${directory::exists(backup.dir)}"/>

code :
if ! hg status > /dev/null 2>&1; then

this one helps. Let's say I have a list of directories, each of which may or may not contain subdirectories which I also want to consider. , Your problem can be translated into multiple easy subproblems
code :
use File::Find;

find sub {
  return unless -f;
  if (file_is_newer_than($timestamp)) {
    do something;
  },
}, $top_dir;
for my $dir_time (["./foo", 1234567890], ["./bar", 1230987654]) {
  my ($top_dir, $timestamp) = @$dir_time;
  # above code
}
use File::stat;

say "$_ is new!" if stat($_)->mtime > $timestamp;
eval {
  find {
    wanted => sub {
      return unless -f;
      die "New file found\n" if stat($_)->mtime > $timestamp;
    },
    no_chdir => 1,
  } $top_dir;
};
if ($@) {
  # I should really use exception objects here…
  if ($@ eq "New file found\n") {
    say "New file in $top_dir found";
  } else {
    die $@;  # rethrow error
  }
}
DIR: for my $dir_time (...) {
  my ($top_dir, $timestamp) = @$dir_time;
  RECURSION: {
    find {
      wanted => sub {
        return unless -f;
        last RECURSION if stat($_)->mtime > $timestamp; # exit the RECURSION block
      },
      no_chdir => 1,
    } $top_dir;
    # if we are here, no newer file was found.
    next DIR; # make sure to skip over below code; go to next iteration
  }
  # this code only reached when a newer file was found
  say "New file found";
}

To fix the issue you can do Network issues might cause this problem as well. You can consider using Mapped Network Drive letters but based on my experience, it's really hard to solve it unless you redesigned network structure. Anyway, it's just my opinion.
