this one helps. I have two collections of MontlySales where each instance has three properties: int Year, string Month and double Sales. , Try this:-
code :
List<MontlySales> result = coll1.Concat(coll2)
                  .GroupBy(x => new { x.Year, x.Month })
                  .Select(x => new MonthlySales
                      Year = x.Key.Year,
                      Month = x.Key.Month,
                      Sales = x.Sum(z => z.Sales)
public class MonthlySales
   public int Year { get; set; }
   public string Month { get; set; }
   public Dictionary<string, double> Sales { get; set; }
List<MonthlySales> result = col1.Concat(col2)
     .SelectMany(x => x.Sales, (monthhlySalesObj, sale) =>
                  new { monthhlySalesObj.Year, monthhlySalesObj.Month, sale })
     .GroupBy(x => new { x.Year, x.Month, ProductName = x.sale.Key })
     .Select(x => new MonthlySales
        Year = x.Key.Year,
        Month = x.Key.Month,
        Sales = new Dictionary<string, double>{{x.Key.ProductName, x.Sum(z => z.sale.Value)}}

seems to work fine I have this LINQ query and I need to make a second Join to it: , It's not really clear what you mean, but I suggest you want:
code :
var linqQuery = from r in gServiceContext.CreateQuery("opportunity")
                where ...
                join c in gServiceContext.CreateQuery("contact")
                   on  ((EntityReference)r["new_contact"]).Id
                   equals c["contactid"] into opp
                from o in opp.DefaultIfEmpty()
                join r in gServiceContext.CreateQuery("annotation")
                   on c["opportunityid"]
                   equals ((EntityReference)r["objectid"]).Id
                select new...
var linqQuery = from opportunity in gServiceContext.Opportunities
                where opportunity.ChannelPartner.Id == targetChannelPartner
                   && opportunity.NewLeadStatus == 100000002
                join contact in gServiceContext.Contacts
                  on opportunity.Id equals contact.Id into contacts
                from contactOrNull in contacts.DefaultIfEmpty()
                join annotation in gServiceContext.Annotations
                  on annotation.ObjectId equals opportunity.OpportunityId
                select ...;

I hope this helps . There should be a second part to the error message which should tell you exactly what is wrong.
If your login screen works, then your table is UserDetails and not User and hence the error is probably says 'Cannot convert from User to UserDetail', which indicates that you should be creating an instance of UserDetails and not User, eg
code :
    UserDetails u = new UserDetails();
    u.username = TextBox1.Text;
    u.password = TextBox2.Text;

    TrackToolDataContext data = new TrackToolDataContext();

hop of those help? You might want to consider storing an array of values to see if any of the constraints are met :
code :
// Store all of the statuses you need to match within a collection
var validStatuses = new []{ "Pending", "Rejected", ... };
db.Updates.Where(c => !c.Sold && validStatuses.Contains(c.Status)))
