around this issue I've usually set the date with the call, and then reset the time to 00:00 with
code :
Carbon::setTime(0, 0, 0);  // from the parent, DateTime class
public function startOfDay()
    return $this->hour(0)->minute(0)->second(0);

this will help Can't say for sure from standpoint of your PHP code, but storing it in MySQL datetime format opens up all the MySQL date/time functions without having to deal with first converting with FROM_UNIXTIME. Also, timestamps have a limit of the year 2038 - see Why do timestamps have a limit to 2038?
As the comments say, you can convert either way, so it becomes a question of where do you want the most convenience - in your SQL statements, or PHP code.

wish helps you I recommend using the MongoDB native date format. The advantage of that is that you can then easily use the date operators: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/operator/aggregation-date/

I hope this helps you . The short answer: :db.type/instant is the way to go.
The long one: have a look at this blog http://dbs-are-fn.com/2013/datomic_history_of_an_entity/ to leverage native Datomic features: remember, Datomic is an accretive database so you have access to all the changes history so you don't really need those timestamps, that's more idiomatic and so recommended.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I would go with a DATETIME field in mySql. Then from php you can check if 72 hours have passed since then.
code :
$dbdate = strtotime($datefromdb);
if (time() - $dbdate > 60 * 60 * 72) {
    // 72 hours passed

wish of those help Instead of manually building the query string you should use sql#DB.Exec(...) with placeholder parameters so that the database driver properly escapes the values for you. Doing it this way is a best-practice, especially to avoid security errors such as SQL injection.
code :
email, loginTime := "human@example.com", time.Now()
result, err := db.Exec("INSERT INTO UserAccount VALUES ($1, $2)", email, loginTime)
if err != nil {
