Grails mail plugin runtime configuration

Grails mail plugin runtime configuration

Hope that helps Based on this code, you should be able to change the configuration at runtime and the mail plugin will automagically re-deploy and update mail sender based on your changes.
Example:
code :
Holders.config.grails.mail.username = 'foo'
Holders.config.grails.mail.password = 'bar'
sendMail {
    to "foo@bar.com"
    from "bar@foo.com"
    subject "Hi"
    body "This is an email"
}
Holders.pluginManager.getGrailsPlugin('mail').notifyOfEvent(GrailsPlugin.EVENT_ON_CONFIG_CHANGE, Holders.config)

it fixes the issue I finally got this working. Turns out Microsoft provide a separate API / web-services to send email and perform all other mail related operations. This API gives developers programmatic access to Exchange Online, Exchange Online as part of Office 365, and versions of Exchange starting with Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Click here for details.
exg6.exghost.com is host for Exchange Server 2007

I think the issue was by ths following , I figured it out myself in fact I need to put the mail configuration into application.groovy like in grails 2. And the MailConnectionException is due to high security in Email, therefore, what I did was to set it to allow apps to connect to mail. This is available in security options of Mail system.

it fixes the issue Templates can include other templates using the g:render tag.
If you don't want the inline css mixed with your mail html, place it in its own template and use the render tag to insert it into the html template:
