will be helpful for those in need If your image uses Bluemix service database, I'm not what you can do. Perhaps you should switch to a local database for the during of the local image run.
Last time this was attempted, the following were the steps taken:

will help you A container instance is an EC2 instance that is running the ECS agent. You can launch the ECS-optimized AMI for a preconfigured system, or you can use your own AMI if you prefer.
Tasks are one or more containers deployed together. Tasks are defined with task definitions. Tasks are not deployed as containers-inside-containers (Docker-in-Docker), but are just sets of containers running on your container instance.

this one helps. Hey I found an answer there is a way to copy the docker container from one os to another without using Docker demon
Docker stores all the containers in the following directory
code :

sudo service docker stop
sudo mv /var/lib/docker /var/lib/docker_backup
sudo mv /media/username/removable_media/docker /var/lib/docker
sudo service docker restart
sudo docker ps -a

will be helpful for those in need Best way to do this is to use Image puller, lot of open sources are available, or you can write your own on the Shell. There is one here. We use swarm, and we use this hook concept to be triggered from our CI-CD pipeline. Once our build stage is done, we http the hook url, and the docker pulls the updated image.
One disadvantage with this is you need a daemon to watch your hook task, that it doesnt crash or go down. So my suggestion is to run this hook task as a docker container with restart-policy as RestartAlways

around this issue It may be worth checking out Docker links (https://docs.docker.com/userguide/dockerlinks/). When you link to a running container, a host entry is added for the container you wish to connect to.
In their example they show
