Hope this helps Since you know the width and height of the canvas, simply place the frame in the center of the canvas with a little math:
code :
x0 = self.frame.winfo_screenwidth()/2
y0 = self.frame.winfo_screenheight()/2
self.canvas.create_window((x0,y0), window=self.frame, anchor = "center")

wish helps you The code you supply does not give this error. Are you certain that code is enough to illustrate the problem?
That being said, the error you say you are getting is consistent with trying to add to a canvas a window that is not a sibling or child of the canvas. According to the official tk documentation:
Tkinter does not show a picture on canvas when the canvas is put inside a frame

this one helps. This piece of code works fine: , The frame itself needs to be packed:
code :
Frame = Tkinter.Frame(root)

will help you No, you cannot create text on a canvas but have it appear above some other window. Typically, for a drag and drop operation you will need to create a toplevel window with the overrideredirect flag set to act as the proxy of the object being dragged.

I think the issue was by ths following , I am working on a program. That gets a image and puts it in a canvas. So it is like a photo viewer. But I would like to get the image in the center of the canvas widget. But it seems to go into the top left corner. Why does it do this? And how can I get it in the center of the canvas widget? , The problem is the line
code :
self.viewWindow.create_image(0, 0, anchor=CENTER, image=imageFile, tags="bg_img")
...(width/2, height/2, anchor=CENTER, ... )

may help you . Set a binding on the canvas event, which fires whenever the canvas changes size. From the event object you can get the canvas width and height, and use that to resize the frame.
