To fix this issue i want to have a placeholder in my textbox in wpf.. i tried to search xaml script to solve my problem, and i find that xaml codes are too long for simple placeholder, then i end up with my own solution.. is event handlers will slow down an app? , There's nothing wrong with a XAML only solution.
code :
<Style TargetType="TextBox" BasedOn="{StaticResource {x:Type TextBox}}"
    <Setter Property="Padding" Value="3"/>
    <Setter Property="Background" Value="White"/>
    <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="Black"/>
    <Setter Property="Template">
            <ControlTemplate TargetType="TextBox">
                <Border BorderThickness="1"
                        Background="{TemplateBinding Background}">
                        <ScrollViewer Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}"
                        <TextBlock IsHitTestVisible="False"
                               Text="{TemplateBinding Tag}"
                               Foreground="{TemplateBinding Foreground}"
                                <Style TargetType="{x:Type TextBlock}">
                                    <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="Collapsed"/>
                                        <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Text, RelativeSource={RelativeSource TemplatedParent}}" Value="">
                                            <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="Visible"/>
<TextBox Style="{StaticResource TextBoxWithWatermarkStyle}" Tag="Hello world" ... />

wish of those help As noted the BunifuTextBox contains a regular WinForms text box. The code you found was designed for such a text box, thus all you need to do is set the cue banner for the underlying text box of the BunifuTextBox:
code :
SetCueText(BunifuTextbox1._TextBox, "Username")

it should still fix some issue Use the events when the text box gets focus and loses focus. When the textbox gets focus you do something like MytextBox.Text = string.Emtpy when it loses focus you check to see whether it has content or not and if not you set it to your default value something like: string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(MytextBox.Text) ? "Default" : MytextBox.Text
