Any of those help This works for all my JUnit tests. You may not need the @WebAppConfiguration. You may or may not want to wire in those @PropertySrouce files but trust me they come in handy.
Right click- >Properties on the context file to make sure you have the correct path.

this one helps. If you do not require an Application Context then remove the following annotation:

hope this fix your issue When running as junit test using Spring Test annotations, you need to use classpath in the locations like this

I wish this help you That's the issue: wrong java version. It might solve the problem. In maven config it says source and target 1.8
So you should use java 7 or upgrade to Spring 4.
