will be helpful for those in need assuming your input file is data.txt (Linux), you can use the system command sort:
code :
sort data.txt > output.txt

To fix the issue you can do I have a file that looks like this
code :
perl -wne '$,=";"; chop;
    print sort { $a <=> $b } split ";";
    print "\n"' input
perl -wnE '$,=";"; chop;
        say sort { $a <=> $b } split ";"' input
perl -F\; -wanE 'chop $F[-1]; $,=";"; say sort { $a <=> $b } @F' input

wish helps you It looks like you are asking for the name of the object in the calling scope. In python the name of an object is not part of the object, it is it's key in the current scope (i.e. in locals() or globals())
Could you find it. yes but it could have multiple names in that scope:
code :
next(key for key,val in globals().items() if val is x and not key.startswith('_'))

b = a
#do you want b or a as the name now?

wish help you to fix your issue I have an array of three floating-point values and I want to sort them in ascending order (although order of perhaps any sorting algorithm can be easily reversed). Calling std::sort seems like an overkill: , The general algorithm is:
code :
if (a[0] > a[1])
    swap(a[0], a[1]);
if (a[0] > a[2])
    swap(a[0], a[2]);
if (a[1] > a[2])
    swap(a[1], a[2]);

this one helps. You can pass a comparator function as the third argument of sort.
Include algorithm of course.
code :
#include<algorithm>
bool compare(const point& p1, const point& p2) {
    return p1.x < p2.x;
}
int main () {
    point A[100];
    std::sort(A, A+100, compare);
    return 0;
}
