I wish did fix the issue. I have text file like this: , First - split your text by lines. E.g. this way:
code :
// string[] lines = File.ReadAllLines(@"c:\temp\test.txt");
string[] lines = text.Split(new string[] { Environment.NewLine }, StringSplitOptions.None);
string date = DateTime.Now.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy");
IEnumerable<string> results = lines.Where(l => l.StartsWith(date));
string result = lines.SingleOrDefault(l => l.StartsWith(date));
string searchKeyword = monthCalendar1.SelectionStart.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy");
string[] textLines = File.ReadAllLines(@"c:\temp\test.txt");

foreach (string line in textLines.Where(l => l.StartsWith(searchKeyword)))
    listBox2.Items.Add(line);
return entire line when search string is found

I wish did fix the issue. You can just read a line of file and write to another new file. Like this:
code :
import re

#open new file with append
nf = open('newfile', 'at')

#open file with read
with open('file', 'rt') as f:
    for line in f:
        r = re.match(r'\$INGGA', line)
        if r is not None:
            nf.write(line)
            nf.write("$INHDT,31.9,T*1E" + '\n')

Hope this helps Obviously, the problem is caused by the " (used as default delimiter for text fields). A sure way to solve the problem is to put a schema.ini file in the strPathToTextFile folder:
How do I return a whole line from a .txt by searching for a string contained in that same line?

I wish this help you You'll need to loop through a getline using your fp, then you can use for example strstr to check if the name is present in this string. Note that you'll have to handle the case when the name is present in the address.
code :
char *line = NULL;
size_t len = 0;
ssize_t read;

while ((read = getline(&line, &len, fp)) != -1) {
    if (strstr(line, nome) != NULL) {
        printf("%s\n", line);
    }
}
