wish of those help I use a long IIF() expression to achieve your goal. Put the expressions below into your parameter default values.
FIRST MONDAY of the PREVIOUS month from today:
code :
=IIF(Weekday(DateAdd("m", -1, DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1)))=2,
DateAdd("m", -1, DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1)),
DateAdd("d",9-Weekday(DateAdd("m", -1, DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1))),DateAdd("m", -1, DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1))))
=IIF(Weekday(DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1))=2,
DateAdd("d",-1,DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1)),
DateAdd("d",8-Weekday(DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1)),DateSerial(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), 1)))

SSRS - Is there a way to restrict date/time input parameters to date only? (Not report output field format.)

fixed the issue. Will look into that further To answer my own question based on research I've done since asking it: it seems it is not possible to control how SSRS handles user entry of date/time values in parameters. If there is a need to restrict to date (or time) only or do cross-field validation then you need to implement your own front-end - which unfortunately for my specific business case doesn't help.

it should still fix some issue You need to set the datatype of the parameter as Date/Time. Do a right click on the parameter of StartDate in your case and you will see the property as below

This might help you If you are linking one report from another, you can pass parameter in the ACTION of the text box.
In the Use the Parameters section, the name is the name of the parameter in the linked report. The value is what you want to populate the parameter with.

I think the issue was by ths following , Please could someone provide some insight to the situation below? , Alternative:
code :
=dateadd(dateinterval.day, -1, dateserial(year(today()), month(today())+2, 1))
=dateadd(dateinterval.second, -1, dateserial(year(today()), month(today())+2, 1))

I wish this helpful for you I have not tried this trick but I have seen it accomplished and it is a little tricky.
Boyan Penev has an explanation that is quite elaborate and innovative. While the first part of the parameter selection is text and not a date I am sure that it can be adapted to fit your needs
