seems to work fine If you filter, other records in the grid will be removed. You can try the following to select only the desired record:
code :
int index = myGrid.getDataAsRecordList().findIndex("attribute", "myValue");
myGrid.selectSingleRecord(index);
myGrid.scrollToRow(index);

Hope this helps First off, your code is probably broken. I doubt that .include?(@size && @color) does what you think it does; you're effectively only checking if option_values includes @color. This is equivalent to doing (true && @color). If you want to include both values, you need .include?(@size) && .include?(@color).
So your code should probably look like this:
code :
vari = Spree::Variant.all
vari.each do |va|
  if va.option_values.include?(@size) && va.option_values.include?(@color)
    @variant = va
  end
end
@variant = Spree::Variant.all.select do |v|
  v.option_values.include?(@size) && v.option_values.include?(@color)
end
Spree::Variant.joins(:option_values).where("option_values.id in (?)", [@size, @color])

around this issue xpath 1.0 - I had to change the approach, because the XML has changed. , Try
code :
//scale[@gender="*" or @gender="m"][@age="*" or @age="39-59"]
$str=<<<XML
<scales>
    <scale id="1" gender="*" age="*">
        <d>5</d>
        <d>9</d>
    </scale>
    <scale id="2" gender="m" age="*">
        <d>3</d>
        <d>0</d>
    </scale>
    <scale id="3" gender="*" age="19-39">
        <d>12</d>
        <d>19</d>
    </scale>
</scales>
XML;
$xml=simplexml_load_string($str);
$result=$xml->xpath('//scale[@gender="*" or @gender="m"][@age="*" or @age="39-59"]');
foreach($result as $node)
{
    echo $node->attributes()->id."\n";
}

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I am looking for a SQL query which will use a value in one record to select a value from an additional record in the same table, returning a value from each of the two records in a single row. , Test Data
code :
DECLARE @TABLE TABLE( id INT, name VARCHAR(20),ref_id INT)
INSERT INTO @TABLE VALUES
( 1,  'Joe',     NULL),
( 2,  'Sally',   NULL),
( 3,  'Steve',   2),
( 4,  'James',   1),
( 5,  'George',  2)
SELECT A.Name , B.Name As Ref_Name
FROM @TABLE A LEFT JOIN @TABLE B
ON A.Ref_ID = B.id
╔════════╦══════════╗
║  Name  ║ Ref_Name ║
╠════════╬══════════╣
║ Joe    ║ NULL     ║
║ Sally  ║ NULL     ║
║ Steve  ║ Sally    ║
║ James  ║ Joe      ║
║ George ║ Sally    ║
╚════════╩══════════╝

I wish did fix the issue. Well, in the end the only thing I had to do was this:
capitalized_controller.rb
code :
class CapitalizedController < ApplicationController
  before_action :authenticate_user!

  def users
    @users = User.all

    if params[:user]
      @result = User.all.find(params[:user])
      @result = @result.email.capitalize!
    else
      @result = nil
    end
  end
end
<%= form_tag('/capitalized/users', :method => "post", id: "capitalize-form") do %>
    <div class="controls">
        <%= select_tag :user, options_from_collection_for_select(User.all, "id", "email", params[:user]), :class => 'text_field' %>
    </div>
  <div class="form-actions">
    <%= submit_tag 'Capitalize email', :class => 'btn btn-primary' %>
  </div>
<% end %>

<% if @result %>
    <p><%= @result %></p>
<% end %>
