C array pointer maths. Have memory violation on access by index

C array pointer maths. Have memory violation on access by index

it fixes the issue malloc returns void*. But you are using the result as an array of pointers.
If you are going to allocate the whole matrix continously then you should access each element with the following code:
code :
m[ROW*columns + COLUMN] = 2;
double *m = malloc(rows * columns * sizeof(double));

I wish this helpful for you A two-dimensional array doesn't decay into a double pointer. It decays into T*[]. For an explanation, see this thread.
You'll have to change the faulty line to:
code :
void Transpose(T* Data[], std::size_t Size)
template <typename T, std::size_t Size1, std::size_t Size2>
void Transpose(T (&Data)[Size1][Size2])

should help you out char *strOu = ""; is a pointer to an empty string (char array of length 1).
When, in the function, you write strOut += 17; , that advances the pointer by 17 characters. Now the pointer is pointing into the wilderness . It's likely that this is in a read-only data area which is why the call to strcpy_s causes an access violation.

hope this fix your issue You code has typos. Don't use reference operator access object references. Elements of asteroids & photons are addresses of corresponding objects.
code :
 for (int index = 0; index < ARRAY_SIZE; index++) {
     if (asteroids[index] != NULL) {
         asteroids[index]->updatePosition();
     }
 }

 for (int index = 0; index < MAX_PHOTONS; index++) {
     if (photons[index] != NULL) {
         photons[index]->updatePosition();
     }
 }

// draw new frame ------------------------------------------------
window.clear();
window.draw(background);

for (int index = 0; index < ARRAY_SIZE; index++) {
    if (asteroids[index] != NULL) {
        asteroids[index]->draw(window);
    }
}

for (int index = 0; index < MAX_PHOTONS; index++) {
    if (photons[index] != NULL) {
        photons[index]->draw(window);
    }
}

around this issue I'm trying to migrate an old project from Borland BCC 5 to Qt 5.6.3 with Microsoft MSVC 2015 64bit compiler. , The problem is in the
code :
(unsigned long)
(unsigned long long)

this one helps. C is pass-by-value, not pass-by-reference. Thus, the List* list in the function list_add and the List* list in main refer to two different locations in memory (they initially point to the same place at the start of list_add, but they are two different pointers with initially the same value, not the same pointer): modifying the value of the variable list within list_add does not affect the value of list in main.
To be specific:
