Any of those help I haven't yet been able to track it back to something in the language, but it appears you can't have an expression lambda with dynamic expression. Update: an expression involving a dynamic is always of type dynamic regardless of whether there's a void method call, see Language Aspects update
A statement lambda works:
code :
private static async Task RunTask(dynamic val)
{
    await Task.Run(() =>
    {
        val.CommonLongRunningTask();
    });
}
() => val.CommonLongRunningTask()
() => {return val.CommonLongRunningTask();}
    private static async Task RunTask(dynamic val)
    {
        await Task.Run(() =>
        {
            return val.CommonLongRunningTask();
        });
    }

it should still fix some issue It's defaultTasks = boostLibs, and has to come after declaring boostLibs. Alternatively, you can declare a task named build that depends on boostLibs, and make "build" the default task.
Unless you need to access these properties from other build scripts, you can turn them into local variables (e.g. def boostLibs = ... instead of ext.boostLibs = ....)

it helps some times You're checking the result from the x Task, which is the Task that can be either the same as t or the result of Task.Delay(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(3)) (provided you await it). You should be able to get the Result from t instead:
code :
Task<string[]> t = new Task<string[]>(() => grabber.grab(link));
// ^^^^^^^^ also defining what the t.Result should contain

var x = await Task.WhenAny(t, Task.Delay(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(3)));
if (x == t){ // make sure that Task.WhenAny returned the t Task
{
    string[] result = t.Result; // get t's Result, not x
    foreach (string item in result)
    {
        list.Add(item);
    }
}

seems to work fine Trial and error method gave me the answer but non a single bit of understanding. Here it is:
Airflow dynamic DAG and Task Ids

Airflow dynamic DAG and Task Ids

Hope that helps After numerous trials and errors, I was able to figure this out. Hopefully, it will help someone. Here's how it works: You need to have an iterator or an external source (file/database table) to generate dags/task dynamically through a template. You can keep the dag and task names static, just assign them ids dynamically in order to differentiate one dag from the other. You put this python script in the dags folder. When you start the airflow scheduler, it runs through this script on every heartbeat and writes the DAGs to the dag table in the database. If a dag (unique dag id) has already been written, it will simply skip it. The scheduler also look at the schedule of individual DAGs to determine which one is ready for execution. If a DAG is ready for execution, it executes it and updates its status. Here's a sample code:
