code :
[a-hjm-zA-HJM-Z0-9]

I wish did fix the issue. I have a FileInputStream who reads a file which somewhere contains a string subset looking like: , Try this one (double the escaping backslashes for the use in java!)
code :
(?<=Customer\()[^\)]*
Pattern p = Pattern.compile("(?<=Customer\\()[^\\)]*");
String original = "Customer(someContent)";
String Replacement = "NewContent";

Matcher m = p.matcher(original);
String result = m.replaceAll(Replacement);

System.out.println(result);

it should still fix some issue Check this out. It presents three good, algorithmic methods for answering questions like these. Learn one of them, or all three of them if you have the time or inclination. State removal is fairly intuitive, although I like Kleene's transitive closure method.

code :
0. a*(a*ba*ba*ba*)*(a+a*ba*ba*ba*)

1. = a*(a*ba*ba*ba*)*a + a*(a*ba*ba*ba*)*a*ba*ba*ba*

2. = a*(ba*ba*ba*)*a + a*(ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

3. = a*a + a*(ba*ba*ba*)*a + a*(ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

4. = aa* + a*(ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*a + a*(ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

5. = aa* + a*(ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

6. = aa* + aa*(ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba* + (ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

7. = aa* + aa*(ba*ba*ba*)* + (ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

8. = aa* + aa*(ba*ba*ba*)* + ba*ba*ba* + (ba*ba*ba*)*ba*ba*ba*

9. = aa* + aa*(ba*ba*ba*)* + ba*ba*ba* + ba*ba*ba*(ba*ba*ba*)*

hope this fix your issue
I have a String, where only numbers and none, one or more percentages are allowed so my regex would be: [\d+%]
code :
  [\d%]*\d[\d%]*
  0
  00
  %0
  0%0
  00%
  0%0%0
  0%%0
"[\\d%]*\\d[\\d%]*"

To fix the issue you can do There are so many great HTML parser around. I kind of like the Mojo suite, which allows me to use CSS selectors to get a part of the DOM:
code :
use Mojo;

my $dom = Mojo::DOM->new($html_content);

say for $dom->find('a.sel_cat')->all_text;
# Or, more robust:
# say $_->all_text for $dom->find('a.sel_cat')->each;
aaa
bbb
ccc
ddd
eee
say for $dom->find('a.sel_cat')->attr('id');
# Or, more robust_
# say $_->attr('id') for $dom->find('a.sel_cat')->each;
sel_cat_10018
sel_cat_10007
sel_cat_10016
sel_cat_10011
sel_cat_10025
