Losing the Č, č characters, UTF encoding within R

Losing the Č, č characters, UTF encoding within R

I hope this helps you . The encoding you’re using – Windows-1252 – doesn’t contain the accented “c” letters.
Unfortunately, encoding support for R on Windows is rather lacking. If Sys.setlocale1 doesn’t work, then the only recourse may be to raw-encode the string and convert it from there:
code :
# Časové …
x = list(as.raw(c(0xC4, 0x8C, 0x61, 0x73, 0x6F, 0x76, 0xC3, 0xA9))) # , …
result = iconv(x, from = 'UTF-8')
Sys.setlocale(locale = 'en_GB.UTF-8')
Sys.setlocale(locale = 'UTF-8')
Sys.setlocale(locale = 'CP65001')

may help you . I have a textarea in an ASP.NET MVC Application where the user can type some text. When I show the text to the user, I use Html.Encode to prevent malicious input. The problem is that the user can type in Spanish and maybe he types año and the Encode transforms this into año. How Can I prevent this? ,
So my guess is that the problem is with the Html.RouteLink

I wish this help you I think Tomcat is your issue, your URI encoding may be defaulted to ISO-8859-1 in your HTTP Connector.
http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/config/http.html, You might have to set the URIEncoding as UTF-8 and see if that helps.
code :
>>> a = '직원의상세미니'
>>> print a.decode("iso-8859-1")

hope this fix your issue If you have characters outside the ascii-range inside your perl-script you have to use utf8 and ensure that your script is stored in the utf-8 encoding (it is).
The main purpose nowadays for use utf8 is to tell perl that your script is stored in utf8. If you want to use it for something else, read perldoc perlunicode first, probably you'll need some other pragma or module.

will be helpful for those in need This is an annoying "security feature" of the Uri class. If you're using 4.0 or later, you can turn it off in your configuration file; otherwise, you'll have to resort to reflection.
