To fix the issue you can do \w includes alphanumeric characters as well as the underscore. It doesn't include the dash.
Simply replace [\w]+ in your regex with [-\w]+ to include the dash.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further Sounds like it could be as straightforward as "any characters, followed by X, followed by any characters that aren't U":

like below fixes the issue You forgot the '.' before the *

I wish this help you You've closed the string after "ID", and the backslash right after that is (outside a string) the line continuation character. The error is that after a line continuation, you need a newline, but of course that's not what you want at all.
I think you can resolve this by just converting your outer quotes to single quotes, like 'ID"\s*"([A-Za-z0-9-]*)"'

The . means any character except newline (which sometimes is but often isn't included, check your regex flavour).
