hop of those help?
is there a way in HTML to request that the browser buffer the entire audio file on playing in order to allow replays rather than the server needing necessarily to support range requests?

This might help you alsamixer store its data in a file with following syntax: , I spend my whole afternoon doing this. Hope it'd solve your problem:
code :
#!/usr/bin/env python2.7
import re
import json

def jsonify(config='/var/lib/alsa/asound.state'):
    g = re.MULTILINE
    p1 = re.compile(r'((?:^|"[^"]+"|\'[^\']+\'|[\s:{}])+)([^\s{}]+)', g)
    p2 = re.compile(r'^(\s*\"[\w.]+"(?!\s*[\:]))', g)
    p3 = re.compile(r'([\"\}])\n(?!\s*\})', g)

    with open(config) as fh:
        context = fh.read()
        # replace all the quote with quotes
        context = context.replace("'", '"')
        # surround the name:value objects by quotes
        context = re.sub(p1, r'\g<1>"\g<2>"', context)
        # add a trailing comma after the values assignment
        context = re.sub(p2, r'\g<1>:', context)
        # add a colon before the values as a delimiter
        context = re.sub(p3, r'\g<1>,\n', context)

    return json.loads('{\n%s\n}' % context[:-2])

if __name__ == '__main__':
    print 'you should use it as module :D'

Any of those help There are a few changes needed to get the slider working correctly. I'll cover them each, in order that they apply.
Invalid Slider Max Value
code :
audioPlayer.onloadedmetadata = function() {
    $(".slider").slider("option", { max: Math.floor(audioPlayer.duration) });
  value: 0,
  step: 0.1,
  orientation: "horizontal",
audioPlayer.onended = function() {
function setUIState() {
  if (audioPlayer.paused || audioPlayer.ended) {
  } else {
audioPlayer.onended = function() {
function changeUI(selectedSong) {

  var sliderDiv = selectedSong.parent().find('.slider');
  rebindSlider(sliderDiv);//Bind the desired slider
  $('.slider').hide(); //Hide all sliders
  sliderDiv.show();//Show only the desired slider
$(".playButton").click(function() {
  if (audioLoaded === true) {
    if (!audioPlayer.paused) {
    } else {
  } else {
    alert("Please click a song");
  return false;

I wish this help you This is more of a comment than an answer, but I can't comment, so:
Browsers generally try not to change how the content is meant to be displayed, including sound. For this reason, I would be surprised if there were such a feature.

it should still fix some issue If you control kthread with kthread_stop, the kthread shouldn't exit until be ing stopped (see also that answer). So, after executing all operations, kthread should wait until stopped.
Kernel already implements kthread_worker mechanism, when kthread just executes works, added to it.
