Which Java Method will be called (Inheritance, No @Override)

I hope this helps . The @Override annotation is optional. It is not required to use it in order for a method of the sub-class to override a method of the base-class that has the same signature.
Using the @Override annotation just helps to catch typos. For example, if the overriding method doesn't have the exact name as the method it is supposed to override, the compiler will complain that the is no matching method to override. Without the annotation, the compiler doesn't know that you intend to override a base-class method.

around this issue
I even added debug lines to prove it was calling A.clear(), which also proves that it had all been recompiled.

Hope this helps What we are having here is two different methods with individual type parameters each.
code :
public abstract <T extends AnotherClass> void getAndParse(Args... args);
public <SpecificClass> void getAndParse(Args... args)
public abstract <T extends AnotherClass> void getAndParse(T... args);
public abstract class GetAndParse<T extends AnotherClass> {
  public SomeClass var;

  public abstract void getAndParse(T... args);

public class Implementor extends GetAndParse<SpecificClass> {
  // some field declarations

  // some method declarations

  public void getAndParse(SpecificClass... args) {
    // method body making use of args

should help you out I tested your 2 classes and they are both working. I wouldn't work if you try something like : Animal tiger = new Tiger(); on the second case, because Animal has not Scream() method
BTW: Usually, method names start with lower case ;-)

like below fixes the issue First thing, if you are extending java.util.Stack, you should provide a base type for it. This is wrong:
code :
public class SortedStack extends Stack {...}
public class SortedStack extends Stack<Node> {...}
public Node push(Node n) {
stack.push( new Node( 10, 1.1f ) );
node = stack.pop(); // No need for (Node)
    while (!this.empty()) {
        if (this.peek().getKey() > n.getKey()) {
        else {
    while (!empty() && peek().getKey() > n.getKey() ) {
    super.push(n); // Don't use new Node() here. Push the node you were given.

    while (!tempStack.empty()) {
