may help you . The could not determine kind of name for ... message is what you get when something isn't defined. In the case of C.free, add stdlib.h to your includes.
code :
#include <stdlib.h>

How to check if the internal typedef struct of a typedef struct is NULL?

How to check if the internal typedef struct of a typedef struct is NULL?

Hope that helps In the revised code, you're setting the first field of outer_instance to NULL, but trying to set the second field to items_instance directly. Since the field has type Items_t* but items_instance has type Items_t, you're getting a type error.
You want to set the field to the address of items_instance, so use &items_instance.

it should still fix some issue Here is my code: , These lines are wrong:
code :
VectorP *p;
p = (VectorP *) malloc(DEFAULT_CAPACITY * sizeof(VectorP));
VectorP p;
p = (VectorP) malloc(DEFAULT_CAPACITY * sizeof(struct Vector));
VectorP p;
p = (VectorP) malloc(sizeof(struct Vector));

this will help The Linux kernel coding style says to avoid these kinds of typedefs:
Chapter 5: Typedefs
code :
vps_t a;
struct virtual_container *a;
Typedef struct pointers correctly pointing to typedef struct (C)

this will help int both functions start() and create() you are printing the address of:
the global variable headThread which is &headThread=0x601890 and remain unchanged because its the same every time (global)
code :
printf("newThread is at: %p, headThread is at: %p\n", newThread, headThread);
static thread headThread = NULL;
static thread *headThread = NULL;
thread newThread = malloc( sizeof(threadinfo_st)); //better use calloc
Forward declaration of typedef struct used in another typedef struct

Forward declaration of typedef struct used in another typedef struct

To fix the issue you can do You can only forward declare the existence of a type and then use a pointer to it. This is because the size of a pointer is always known, while the size of a forward declared compund type is not, yet.
code :
struct s1;
struct s2;

struct big_struct {
    struct s1* pmy_s1;
    struct s2* pmy_s2;
};

struct s1 {
    int i1;
};

struct s2{
    int i2;
};
