In NetLogo how do you get rid of the World View

Hope this helps As Nicolas says, there is no official way to do this.
The workaround I would suggest is to set max-pxcor to 0, reducing the view's height to a minimum, then covering it with an opaque "note".

Does that help No, this is impossible. The world size is measured in patches, and the dimensions of a patch are always 1x1. There's no such thing as a partial patch.

hop of those help? I don't think it's possible but you can try modeling a big space and use half of it for your patches and the other half for the tree.

hop of those help? Sure. Just take a look at the resize-world primitive.
Just be aware that:

Hope that helps You have the same seed in R (using set.seed) but NetLogo uses a separate random number generator with its own independent seed. To set the NetLogo seed, use NLCommand("random-seed 0", nl.obj=my.netlogo). The NetLogo documentation for random-seed can be found here.
Edit: I didn't have notice at first that you are running setup and go before setting the NetLogo random seed. This will lead to divergent world conditions at the time you export the world (and divergent results). To get exactly reproducible results you should set the random seed immediately after loading the NetLogo model, before running setup, go, or any other procedures.
