this one helps. You should use htmlEscape attribute of sprSec:authentication. See that.
Example:

wish of those help The String 'SPRING_SECURITY_LAST_USERNAME' isn't deprecated - the old constant with that value is and has been moved with a new name but the same value. So your code will continue to be valid.
Rather than changing things to not escape, you can un-escape easily:
code :
import org.apache.commons.lang.StringEscapeUtils
...
String username = StringEscapeUtils.unescapeHtml(session['SPRING_SECURITY_LAST_USERNAME'])
Spring-Security : Username is sent empty for login after upgrade to Spring-Security 4.1

I wish this helpful for you Probably the problem is that starting from Spring Security version 4.+ parameters names for form login changed their names:
username instead of j_username password instead of j_password POST to /login URL instead of /j_spring_security_check
code :
<form-login login-page="/login"
                    username-parameter="j_username"
                    password-parameter="j_password"
                    login-processing-url="/j_spring_security_check"
                    ..../>

I wish did fix the issue. I have written an APP which has the login form implemented so far. , Your issue is here:
code :
@Service
public class UserDetailsServiceImpl implements UserDetailsService {

    @Autowired
    UserRepo userRepo;

    @Override
    public UserDetails loadUserByUsername(String userName) throws UsernameNotFoundException {
        if (userRepo.count() < 1) {
            System.out.println("SpringUser not found! " + userName);
            throw new UsernameNotFoundException("SpringUser " + userName + " was not found in the database");
        }
        return userRepo.findAll().iterator().next();
    }
}
userRepo.findAll().iterator().next();
userRepo.findByUsername(userName);

This might help you
Shouldn't Spring Security do all the authentication work by itself?
code :
@Override
protected void configure(AuthenticationManagerBuilder auth) throws Exception {
    auth.userDetailsService(userDetailsService).passwordEncoder(getPasswordEncoder());
}
@Override
public boolean matches(CharSequence charSequence, String s) {
    return true;
}
@Override
public boolean matches(CharSequence rawPassword, String hashedPassword) {
    String hashedPassword2 = null; // hash your rawPassword here
    return hashedPassword2.equals(hashedPassword);
}
